Food trucks on the green
We finally made it to the food trucks on the green down in Fenney. We were impressed with the set-up and the food was very good. Since there was 5 of us we had a variety of food from all three trucks.
I ordered the smashburger from Edna's. It was extremely tasty. Others in our group had Mexican from Rita's, and goodies from Tubby's. It was also a perfect day with a slight breeze while we sat under the moss covered oaks and ate our lunch.

Is there a Halal Chicken and Rice cart there yet? So sorry to hear South of 44 still doesnt have good dining yet and relies on food trucks...
But nothing wrong with food trucks.

Oh please. Every person living south of 44 can visit any restaurant everyone else can. No one relies on food trucks to eat a meal out.

The atmosphere at Edna’s on the green is very relaxing and truly Florida. The sitting under the moss covered trees with a gentle breeze overlooking the golf course is what retirement is all about. The food trucks are a clever way of offering different choices for every party, and for those regulars one food truck changes from time to time.
It’s not a sit down restaurant experience, it’s entirely different. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. |

We rented in Marsh Bend before buying elsewhere in TV. We've eaten at Edna's many times. It is always good food, freshly prepared and Edna's has a good selection of craft beers (not an easy find in TV). We still drive down there about once a month to play golf and eat at Edna's. It's a great atmosphere and very relaxing.

I'm just on that never-ending quest for good Asian BBQ Pork on a stick... make it myself a lot, but it can be work!
That and freshly fried pork skins! |

The only thing we didn't like about Edna's were the signs telling us we couldn't drink our own water or pour our beer into insulated cups.
The atmosphere was very nice with the trees, relaxed seating, and live music when we were there. The variety of different foods offered by the various trucks is great. Since we are craft beer drinkers we were pleasantly surprised with the number of craft beers available. But I don't like to drink my beer warm. Refrigerated is good and cellar temperature is nice but after a short time in a plastic cup it is just too warm. If I am not allowed to pour my beer into my insulated cup then my choices are to drink it warm, drink it fast, or drink it elsewhere. There are plenty of other places for me to drink and there are plenty of people to take my place at Edna's so neither of us loses. It would just be nice if it was a little more welcoming.

That's funny, I mean Fenny. Everything south of 44 is Fenny, to me.

That’s fair. Everything north of 44 is Spanish Springs to me.
