I really don't think this is a secret, but I'd like to cast my vote for "Up The Creek" at Lk Sumter.
First time there was this afternoon and it was the best meal we've had since being in TV.
I had a great lobster salad {12.50} and hubby had a Ribeye Philly steak & cheese sandwich {7.99} Our friend ordered a Tuna Steak from the dinner menu that was cooked just as ordered. Service was perfect!
All & all lunch was excellent as were the drinks.

Little Joey's Pizza & Italian Restaurant is located on 441/27 N of Wal-Mart, just a mile or so on the left in the strip mall with the tile roofs before intersection of 441/27 & 42. I had the Veal ala Joey's with angle hair pasta & Joey's sauce. The veal is fresh cut and pounded daily & has never been frozen. Oh what flavor. I also had Chicken Francaise with angel hair with the same sauce as the chicken. Oh, wow! You can order whatever pasta you like with whatever sauce you like. Then another time I tried the meatball sub with mozzarella cheese. The meatballs were wonderful and the cheese was not that bubblegum type that you can choke on. Sauce is homemade. Pricing is very reasonable. Menu from appetizers, Clams Casino (delicious) soup (love the Pasta fazoul) baked dishes, pasta, sandwiches hot/cold, chicken, seafood, veal, pizza (yummy the best) calzone oh wow. Deserts, well if you can't fit it take home cannoli for later. Children under 10 only half price w/free beverage spaghetti, manicotti, ravioli, baked ziti. Better than fast food. Coffee/tea/hot/iced only $1.00 and the cup is huge. Other beverages sodas etc available. Wine & beer bar only. Great place for lunch (NO LINES) Full menu served all day. Booths for 6 are huge. If you are coming here for diner come between 4:00 & 5:00 to beat the crowd. Hours are: Sunday closed, Monday 4:00pm till closing, Tues thur Sat 11:00 am till closing. Now that I have told you about this place I probably won't be able to get a seat. No I don't own or work here. Just a Villager who loves great fresh homemade food. Decor is Tuscon. Your comments and reviews please.
Good Review and I agree 100% with it.
I'm Italian, and moved here from an area in NY State with a large selection of excellent Italian Restaurants.
Little Joey's is one of my favorite places in the area.

Carrabbas food is really good. They serve the best bread in The Villiages.

Camille, Did you know that Carrabba's Italian Grill is partly owned by Outback? I agree with you though, it's consistently excellent. In addition to Carrabba's, Outback also has an equity-partnership with Bonefish Grill which I understand is also coming to TV. The reviews suggest that it's as good as Carrabba's and Outback. This should be great competition for Up the Creek in LSL. George

This thread sort of got "off topic" ;D but trying to keep things on topic in this website is like herding cats......my wife and I LOVE the Bonefish Grille. They have one in Ocala and down in Orlando. If you like fish, try it.

Isn't a Bonefish Grill opening sometime in the future in TV? I suppose though each Bonefish Grill is going to be a little different in quality and the like based on its management?

many of us fish lovers enjoy bonefish grill in ocala. tv will soon have it's own golf cart accessible bonefish next to the cvs on 466 in the buffalo ridge shopping area.

two good golf cart accessible lunch or breakfast non chain places in that general area are the son rise cafe and lit' bits cafe.
son rise does serve dinner but not every night.

Where is this place Lil' Bits? Across from Crispers near CR466 and CR101?

yes, lil' bits is in the relatively new palm ridge plaza. great for simple yet very good breakfast or lunch til 2:00 p.m. it's nice to frequent a place owned by fellow villagers.
it's a small place but with an open uncrowded feeling. good food and service.

I read in Lake County Style Magazine (one of those mags that you find mainly in doctors office waiting rooms) that The Chocolate Lab Restaurant, Rts 441/27 in Leesburg, had been voted the best new restaurant and the best place for breakfast in the county. We stopped by at 11a.m on Saturday & couldn't believe it. There was a box of trash just inside the front door, several dreary looking tables, a guy standing behind a counter, and no customers. You walk through the place and end up at the desk of a motel. The desk clerk didn't know anything about any Chocolate Lab Restaurant. Maybe the food is great, but we didn't stay around to find out.

I've been on this TOTV blog almost a year now, and I'm surprised that there's never been a mention of Billy's Cafe on 27\441? I can't think of a better (there may be cheaper) place for breakfast. The omelets are large enough to be shared. The pancakes and crepes are consistently good. OK so breakfast is my favorite meal. Of course they stop seating every day at 2:00 PM, so that kinda limits breakfast to the early hours of the day. Anyone ever had a bad experience here? George
