Default FREE from Bonefish Grill

Went to Bonefish to celebrate the day after our anniversary.
Great food. Great service - thanks Ruby. Have always liked this place and even go there for a really good steak!
Looking over my bill discovered that I had been charged 25 cents (each!!) for the olives in my $10 martini. The manager happened to drop by at that perfect moment to ask how we liked our meal.
It was wonderful, however after spending $100 on a meal of tonight's special, house wine, my $10 martini and a generous tip I questioned if that 25 cent (each) olive is what his marketing department wanted me thinking about on the way home, and the next day and now?
Said he didn't know they charged for that. Asked him if he was new that week. Said he wasn't, would be right back and then brought me his business card with a note on the back for a "free olive" for my next visit.

Since I won't be using it, ever, let me know if you'd like it.

I think the manager really screwed up on this one. He should have at least given you a free martini.

Default Bonefish

I've never been charged for olives, but got charged for ice once. Ordered a Martini-up at Rose's. The bill showed a Martini and also a mixed drink. I inquired and was told there was a charge for the ice used in the shaker. Come on, restaurateurs. Don't play games nickle-and-dime with us.

The manager had an opportunity to correct an obvious problem and satisfy an unhappy customer, but he totally dropped the ball. Why is he there? If I owned the restaurant, I think I woild fire the guy.

Thumbs down Intersting

This is a timely note. We, with another couple went to Bone Fish as we had not been there for awhile. Both my wife and I had a simple white fish dinner. My wife also had the mash patatoe and a veg. We were charged $80 with tip. Neither of us drink other than a soda. I saved the bill and after a few days, being bored decided to take a look at the bill which I had put in my pocket. I found my wife was charged 40 cents for the veg and we were both charged 2.99 for our soda's. WOW, $80 for 2 simple white fish dinners and a couple of soda's. They were filled so I guess people don't care about costs. $80 just seems like a lot. I know most readers will say then go there. They are absolutely right.
As they say "first time shame on you, 2nd time shame on me"..!!

The only time we go to Bonefish is on Wednesday for the Bang-Bang shrimp special. We had a Bonefish in my native Rhode Island and it closed it’s doors, there are an abundance of great seafood restaurants in RI and an overpriced nat’l chain just can’t make it. Same goes for Red Lobster they all closed their doors in the Ocean state.

Default Stuffed olives

I have been ordering martini olives from them for years and my understanding is plain olives are free but stuffed olives are extra. I generally prefer blue cheese olives and specify them with the understanding that there is an up charge.

I don't care if the olives are stuffed with caviar. If you charge a certain price for a martini, the olive is part of the drink. What a marketing blunder.
I can see if you ask for Bombay Gin. You expect an extra charge.

That sounds like the real story. Good place to eat, but not cheap.

I think you should go in there when it is very busy, present your card for the free olive and ask for a box to take it home in.
