Default Fried Shrimp

Three or four times a year I like to treat myself to a tasty meal of fried shrimp - French fries and coleslaw.

Don’t like Cody’s fried shrimp.

Lighthouse at LSL has ok fried shrimp.

The Cotillion in Wildwood.....at this time...is my favorite destination for fried shrimp. Shrimp are very large - batter is tasty and thin. Fries good - coleslaw ok.

Any fried shrimp connoisseurs in the forum? If so - any recommendations that are better then the above?

Restricting to Bubble not necessary - can be outside up to 20 miles.

Thanks in advance.

It's a bit more than 20 miles but worth the drive. There's a place called Essex Seafood in Peirson, FL about an hours drive norrtheast.

The couple who own it are from Essex and Gloucester, MA and their daughter is the server. The place is a dump but the food is just like back home (Eastern Massachusetts).

I love their grilled shrimp. Reasonable prices and quick service.

I just buy shrimp from Sam or Costco and put them in the air fryer. Bad part I eat them more than I should, because it’s so easy

Dixie Crossroads in Titusville has the best shrimp I've ever had. Their wild-caught Atlantic Brown Shrimp are great, whether the normal fried or the coconut batter fried or the bacon shrimp. Their exclusive Rock Shrimp, which taste like little lobster tails, are very, very good. However, if you can get to them when Royal Red Shrimp are in season, they are just plain awesome.
