After so many positive testimonials we gave it a try last month. We got there early anticipating a large crowd and were only the third couple sat. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and my wife ordered the chicken parmigiana. The red sauce on both our orders was dark brown and tasted burnt. Also, our waitress was more interested in a constant chit chat with the staff than attending to our table. Our drinks ran out, empty dirty dishes were not picked up. And as you can imagine no apology was offered, we felt as if we were disturbing her. Our first and only experience wasn't good, we won't be going back.
Conversely, with many negative opinions about Riccardi's we find their food excellent and the service pretty good. Go figure. :icon_hungry:

You really should have spoken to the owner. It is family run and one of the family is always on duty. It's our go to Italian place in TV.

We liked the fried calamari -- pizza not so much. Also we have found the taste of their "red sauce" inconsistent between visits

We go for lunch at least once or twice a month, never been for dinner. We went last Wednesday and had pizza. It was very good, it was a little heavier than Sammy Joe's up at Mullbery, which is our favorite, but Giovanni's is our second favorite pizza. We normally order spaghetti with meat sauce at lunch. Comes with a salad and bread for $6.98, it's very good and the price is great.

Normally you have to arrive for lunch by 11:45 or you'll have to wait, usually no more than ten minutes. I've never seen dirty tables at lunch because people are waiting to be seated. There are two waitresses that always work lunch, and they are the best waitresses in town. Whoever had that bad experience, I don't understand unless it was after a dinner time rush near closing.

I agree - I so loved the food I bought their cookbook.

Delicious! Come early or expect a wait. It'll be worth it if you do.

I guess if you pronounce Italian as EYEtalian you would think the food is great. It mediocre at best for real italian food.
