Have never been to Glenview yet. Just checked out their menu. Looks far more interesting than many country clubs that cater to the bland food for seniors

I enjoy reading your food comments because when I do go out, it is usually for a special reason.

This may sound dumb, but why do you always dine with your military friend? Wouldn't it be nice to go out sometimes with your wife?

We lived on and cruised on a motor yacht for six years (covered 30K miles) on our journeys, I was the captain & my wife was the admiral--she told me where to go & I followed orders--she's still the admiral

You were an electrical contractor and retired early? You did very well for yourself.

Actually made more money in real estate than I did working as an electrical contractor--when a new sub-division of typical 3200 sq ft homes started I bought the first house pre-construction, rented the 4 bedrooms to single employees and used the basement as a job site trailer--when the project was finished , fresh paint and sold the house--mortgage was paid by my renters--also invested in lots of sort up companies-went into business in19 75 part time, full time19 83 sold my business in19 95 and retired

Great idea to make money. I did that when my 1st child went to college. Bought an old multi-bedroom home, rented rooms and sold when they left. Put the kids in charge. Best learning experience.

Glenview is NOW owned by the same family that owns Red Sauce, Havana & Legacy, not sure if they still own Johnny Rockets

David & Joseph Suleiman own:
The Legacy Restaurant
The Legacy Bar & Grill
Glenview Champions CC Restaurant
Redsauce
Havana CC Restaurant

They sold the Johnny Rockets franchise to Kirk Walker.
