Many mention Longhorn. I'm wondering about Outback since I have a gift card that can be used there.

Lopez far and above the rest. Only place I will go for a melt in your mouth filet prepared perfectly.

Let us know which restaurant you select and how you liked it.

So Fed is invited to your house?

Outback is good, but given a choice I prefer Longhorn. Also been to Lopez and Glenview. They're fine as well, though not anything super special in my opinion.

I agree with Kaydee, Nothing beats a good home cooked meal. My wife and I take it in turns to be chef. Restaurants use too much sodium for our tastes.

take the tenderizer & MSG out of all the steaks in the area & all you have is an average piece of choice meat

Still, the 2 best available is Honest John's & Arnold Palmer, the owner of Vics Embers told me the area will not support any restaurant that serves Prime grade of meat

One evening at Outback everything on my plate was so salty I couldn't eat it. The manager comped it. That may have been an aberration because other times the steak was good. I still prefer Longhorn

Interesting. The owner of Vics Embers said..........what would such a restaurant charge for such a steak?

I have had a steak once and just once at a number of TV country clubs and apparently you are paying for the ambience

Actually its my mother's fault because she was an excellent cook.:D
On the other hand my father was a chef. Why because as he use to say the difference between a chef and a cook is a chef doesn't do dishes:D

The best thing about Restaurant Discussion beside critiques is that we have the good fortunate and economic opportunity to choose or not choose to go out. What a blessing
