From his second sentence "They just opened and have Vienna beef hot dogs, polish sausage and gyros." I assumed they were open and serving food along with craft beer.
Hopefully someone comes back and lets us know for sure.

Yes, our best source says they opened August 6th with food and beer.

Trust me.

Thanks for sharing. Went there Monday afternoon and sandwiches were great. Not a big beer drinker but they had a coffee flavored beer on tap and it was good. Had the Gyro sandwich...wife had the Italian sausage sandwich. Fair price for the meals. Will definitely go back and try the other sandwiches. Really friendly employees.

Wife and I stopped for lunch today at noon. The place is small and non-descript with six aluminum tables inside and three wooden picnic table outside. They don't expect to have any in house brewed beer before the end of September. We enjoyed lunch and the beer but personally prefer the overall experience at Pi's on Broadway in Ocala. We've satisfied our curiosity, and while we wish them every success with this new endeavor we're not going to rush back to Great Chicago Fire. The food, not the beer at Ramshacle Cafe, is better.

Went there last Tuesday on the way back from a TSA enrollment appointment at MCO. We had the Italian beef and Chicago style dog.. They were both excellent. I requested a jumbo Chicago style dog as a no extra cost option. Will try the Italian sausage and gyro next as this will be a destination food stop.

... and am not sure they have air conditioning. Food was OK but no Portello's. We were at the new Tampa Portillo's and a worker there told us that Orlando would be getting 2 Portillos in 17.

Great Chicago Fire had AC and a whole bunch of fans both traditional ceiling and blowers. In this summer heat you couldn't survive without AC.

The folks who own Pi's on Broadway in Ocala also opened a microbrew last year. It's about a block away from Pi's. You can order from Pi's menu and they'll walk the food over. We always intended to stop at the microbrew pub but the beer selection at Pi's original location has always been outstanding. We'll have to check out Portillo's. With Two WOB's in TV with a better food menu, I don't see a lot of Villagers trekking over to Great Chicago Fire.

Some firms think it is wise to try to force people into going for Facebook, we do not and most of our friends do not.

We went last week. We had the Italian beef. It was ok. Not much beer selection. 3 basic wine choices. Friendly staff. Clean but sparse and small restaurant. Wish them success but we will not be back unless we are in the area. Go and decide for yourself.
