Default Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat Martini (& food) @ BlueFin

Four of us swam down to BlueFin last night.

First time visit..........place was packed.

Low humidity, so we sat outside.

We had a 45 min wait, so I ordered a Martini.........a Gin Martini.......a man's Martini.

It was wonderful. Enjoyed it very much and licked the glass dry.

The four of us had different entrees. Everyone commented about how great it was. (It was everybody's first swim with the Fins).

Could not find one thing to complain about our experiences.

We will have to try it sometime. I saw a bunch of the staff in training when I was standing in line for some movie or another at the Barnstorm Theater. They were cheering on the owner of Bluefin.

There is some great wisdom here. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder? Pearls before swine? One martini is better than overwhelming the palate with alcohol? After two slugs of straight vodka there isn't a soul on the planet that can tell the price?

I haven't had my coffee yet Dee. Glad you had a nice meal. I am your fan.

I agree. We enjoyed our drinks and dinner and yes, a real martini is made with gin!

Being something of a martini snob, a martini is made with GIN and a bit of vermouth. I prefer Bombay (but not the extra proof Sapphire). As I say, too often, if it’s good enough for The Queen, it’s good enough for me.

I have a longtime friend who likes to order a “Grey Goose martini with no vermouth.” I’ve told him neither of those ingredients, or lack thereof, fulfills the criterion for martini ingredients. Fer cryin’ at loud, as my father would say, just order Grey Goose on the rocks with an olive. Sheesh!

We had several requests to reopen this thread. What you don’t see are 16 posts that were hidden or deleted as they were making fun of another’ member or grossly off topic.

So, we have reopened the thread but will delete anything that does not discuss Bluefin restaurant experience. If it goes off track again, it will quickly be closed.

Be kind, be civil, stay on topic. That’s all we ask.
