Be sure to make a Reservation as they don't take walk ins or early birds. Suggest the 2 lb. Lobster Tail for an appetizer and the Bone in Rib Eye for Dinner. Please let me know how you think it compares to Havana. By the way, if you like this one, I'll give you another that's actually a bit classier. Bon Apitite!
While we're at it, why not just take a ride up to NY and go to Rao's??? What the heck would I go to Tampa for when I live in TV?? That's okay, Jerril, I'll stick with Havana CC. I had a great time there tonight and its only 3 minutes from my house.

Perhaps where you eat you ask if they take a check before you sit down I have never even taken a check book into a resturant.

Anyone else ever write a check at a resturant?
Looks like you didn't understand that my use of the word "checkbook" was a METAPHOR!

Smile Havana Country Club Awful Food Awful Service

We went to the Havana Country Club for Valentine's Day brunch and it was Awful. The service was really bad, and it took the waitress over 20 minutes to bring us our drinks. Also, hardly any food on the Buffet Stations. I did not leave the waitress a tip. As, I was leaving I told the Hostess that their service needs improving and she told me if I didn't like it I didn't have to come back. As I was walking out another couple was walking in, so I told them HOW BAD it was, they kept going. I will NOT go back there. We have eatten at Mallory Country Club and that was even worse. But Glenbrook Country Club was really good and nice. I understand that here in the Villages all the restrauants have a captive audience, but at least give good service and good food. Mark

sorry, but I find it unbelievable that a hostess would just dismiss your complaints out of hand, and tell you to not come back. I believe you when you say you thought the food was bad, however, it seems to me that you are trying to make it sound worse than it really was.

Default Oh well

For those that have said I won't come back, THANK YOU because that means when I go 3-4 times a week it'll be easier for me to get a seat. You can't satisfy everybody but they must be doing something right because it's always packed when I go. The people I talk to seem pleased and I see them coming back for more. Just my opinion!

All of the country club restaurants are packed right now because of the influx of visitors and snowbirds. It isn't necessarily a sign of a good restaurant, but that the country clubs are the "only show in town".

Personally I've found the food at Havana to be spotty - sometimes its good, sometimes not, and the service the few times I've been there has been nothing to write home about. I do like their decor though.

I was wondering the same thing. Like they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity...

These places better start treating customers right. Not everyone is a seasonal resident..............tick me off in the winter and lose my business in the summer when you need every customer you can get.

Why would someone go to a restaurant because its the only one in town when the food and service is as deplorable as some critics say?
Food and service being spotty....doesn't that happen at a great number of restaurants?
I guess I'm just getting tired of folks dissing Havana.
