I doubt that many Villages residents will miss those establishments, but the three prime town square vacancies certainly are an eyesore. Hopefully the spaces can be filled with reputable businesses and won’t wind up as apartments.

All in all, Spanish Springs is in a tough spot, I think we will see major changes there in the next few years.
There are not a lot of residents to the north, that was okay when it was just SS and LSL. Now, folks around LSL can go south - brownwood, sawgrass and soon 2 more. There’s less to temp you north.
SS will survive, but, as noted above, a beer joint with sub par pub food won’t cut it there. Bella Vita has been a great experience, look for more like that.
I think the renaissance of SS will be fantastic.
