LG, I'm not too familiar with the area but does it have a name? Still in search!!!! Anyone know when this DeeDee's place is coming, and where?

Mary Kay,

I read the Dee Dee's dog house is scheduled to complete coincident with the commercial area adjacent to Starbuck's in the Rolling Acres area, Rolling Acres and CR 441/27, this Fall or early next year.

Try the Chicago Dog at the Lil Bit Cafe in the new plaza across from Crispers. It' not exactly like a Chicago Dog (I lived in Chicago 48 years) but it is the best I have found. The place has great food and decent prices, with fast service. We love it and went there this past Sat. Sun. and today! They are only open from 7AM till 2PM though.

I have not been to a Villages polo match this year, but last year or maybe it was the year before that the hot dogs at the vending place under the polo stands were very good.

Of course, you would have to go see a polo match too. And, I am not sure these really good hot dogs are still there.

I'm from the Chicago area and have found a place in Leesburg which has Vienna Hot Dogs Chicago Style - poppy seed bun and all (missing cucumbers, though). It was named A&B something, but has recently changed owners and is now Deputy Dog (same staff, I believe). It is on the left (East) side of 441/27 a couple of blocks before the 441/27 split.

The stand outside Home Depot has a Hot Dog stand which has 2 types of dogs - one is New York style, I believe, with all the fixings.

Mary, you can get your hot dog now at Big City on 466 in the Buffalo Ridge shopping center.

Although I've yet to try it, my family tells me Nathan's in Wallmart on 466 not only has their traditional hot dogs and french fries but also fish & chips which they rave about.
