You DO know what a hot dog is made from? All the "nasties" you trim away...

That's not the question that was asked!!!:icon_hungry:

Do we think that anyone reading this post does not know about the contents of Hot Dogs?

They taste soooo good like bacon does, like ice cream does....

Everything in moderation!!!

Lena's in Silver Springs

Back home in Ohio, in the nearby city of Warren there is a simple restaurant known as the Hot Dog Shoppe. The menu only consists of hot dogs (plain, chili, cheese, sauerkraut etc.) hamburgers, fries and bowls of chili. The place does amazing business and is a must-visit when I make the trek back up North.

My question: Is there anything even close to this down here?

Check out Lena's in Silver Springs for a New England style dog served on traditional NE split top rolls!!! Also fantastic Onion Rings to chow down on!!!

Lena's is a NE style seafood / hot dog shack which is a second store to it's New Hampshire original.

...and I don't care that's it may not be the best for me... I make it up in other ways!!!

From time to time there is a hot dog wagon set up near the the hotel on 466 just east of Buena Vista. Great dog and a quick lunch.

Taste of Chicago
846 E 5th Ave
Mount Dora, FL 32757

They feature "Chicago Style" hot dogs and beef and sausage sandwiches. I don't know what type of hot dogs are common in Ohio, but you might be pleased with these! Outdoor sitting area and very casual....

Packed every night since they opened.

SAM's does have a good "dog" but they stopped offering chili sauce as a topping...BIG mistake.

Went to Brady's in Colony Shopping center this week for lunch and they have a Nathans Dog Special...2 dogs with fries and a soft drink for $5.99. They are the normal size dog but you can get onions and Chili/Cheese cost $1 extra.....was not bad

We used to go to Nathan's in Wal-Mart, and then maybe we'd shop there, but we'd really go just for the hot dogs and fries. Since they've closed up we've been looking for a replacement. This might work for us and it's close. Of course the beer at Beef O'Grady's would go very nicely too! So thank you.

Five Guys has a great split grilled sausage dog with whatever toppings you want. The stand in front of Home Depot has a good Italian sausage with grilled onions and peppers.

Polish deli on 441 has really good hotdogs. Take them home; stick them on the grill and add hot dog chili sauce and onions.
No restaurant required.
