We went to the first Jersey Mike’s in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ for over 40 years, & were happy to see it arrive here. It’s not quite the same as up north but still very good. Never been to Jimmy John’’s but a grandson worked at one in Chandler, Az. & says they’re the best. We’ll wait & see. Publix is much better than Subway or Firehouse. Now we need good northeast real Italian pizza.

We really like Publix subs, we get them Boars Head.

I ‘ve tried the others and always go back to Publix. However , to get the real italian hero I had back north , I have them put on double meat for the $3 extra. Then I bought the submarine dressing which is near the boars head mustard and I add to the sub at home . Better that the stuff they put on when they are making it and keeps the sandwich dry till I get home. Wawa also makes a decent sub. It’s the bread that makes it and the others don’t have decent bread

Default No comparison

There is no comparison. Jimmy Johns is nowhere near the quality or quantity of Jersey Mike's, so keep driving south, or north, depending on where you life, and ALWAYS choose Jersey Mike's over Jimmy Johns!!

When I first moved down here I was going to Subway which is mediocre at best. Then I had an Italian sub from Publix and was pleasantly surprised. Not like home but not bad. Firehouse Subs are awful.

Then Jersey Mike's came to town and I tried them and like them even better than Publix. So I've been going there.

I've been seeing some ads for Jimmy John's and have been thinking about trying them out. Has anyone had their Italian subs? How do they compare to Jersey Mike's?

For health reasons I only have one about once a month so I'd rather not waste it on something that's not going to be good.

I'm from Jersey and agree that Jersey Mike's here doesn't put as much meat on as beck home. For great pizza NYPD is the closest we have found to back home.

Publix Italian bread is a sad imitation for good Italian bread. Napolinos has the best Italian bread here. Everybody’s entitled to their opinion. Their bagels shouldn’t be called bagels.

Buy Italian bread that you like, buy the cold cuts you want to put in your hero and make it yourself.
