Default Johnny Rockets....new owner?

I had breakfast there Sunday morning and server told me as of Monday they will have a new owner. They had a 10:00 pm meeting Sat. night and were introduced to new owner. They hadn't heard a thing.

Yup, the transaction actually took place a few months ago. Just being announced now. Kirk Walker from Ocala is the new owner.

Doesn't surprise me. They sold Amerikanos last year whey they bought Lopez CC. He told me he likes the large operations and now has two of the Country Clubs (Havana and Lopez) I hope he is positioning himself to take over Hacienda !

Do you really buy a country club? Or do you lease them?

You lease the restaurant space.

I would hope that they sold Johnny Rockets because they might take over Hacienda, but I have a feeling it was because they opened Glenview. Still waiting for the surprise about Hacienda that the developer mentioned at meeting last month.

I drove by Hacienda yesterday to pick up mail, and was surprised to see the pool bar was open, as promised by the developer. No one was in the pool as it was rainy, but there were two people sitting at the bar.

I believe there was some talk of turning the Hacienda into an indoor swimming pool. Just talk right now. I think it was in the online news.
