It was probably a good time to sell and find a larger space. They probably don't want the hassle of operating multiple restaurants. From the Villages Gourmet website

My wife got a take out yesterday from Kung Fu. When she entered the restaurant Ting Ting immediately recognized her and gave her a big hug. The food was excellent. We are happy to have them back in the new location.

Default Kung Fu

Ate there the other night and found the chicken chow mein a bit on the bland side and not much chicken in it . Not bad though but wouldn’t order it again. My friend enjoyed the General Tso’s chicken. Soup, rice and spring roll were good. We will definitely give it another try.

It's really good, in my opinion. However, it does not seem to have any greater capacity than their former site. It was crowded when I went there but I purchased take out and ate at home. Their food is the same excellent menu as before.

We are from outside of NYC and thought the food was awful. We ordered takeout and it was a huge disappointment. Fairly large order around 60.00. We sampled it and were not happy. Tossed it out.

Got takeout last Saturday. I noticed that the place was 90% full at 12 noon.
Ordered four of their takeout vegetarian dishes: Vegetable Delight, Sauteed Broccoli, Szechan Tofu, and the Red Curry Tofu. Excellent! Absolutely delicious.
I see some negative reviews here. Maybe they do some dishes better than others? Maybe people were expected more food. For me, tasty food is more important. And as far as the veggie dishes, I've had them several times and they are as good as it gets.

Went out for my 2-24-2023 birthday lunch to Kungfu Chef and it was quite good. The small place was just about full around 12:30 PM . Kungfu Chef | Order Online | The Villages, FL 32162 | Chinese

They are open. We dined there. Service was fine, food too. I do like very spicy and asked the server. The veggies were all fresh the chicken moist but lacked the spice heat I like. I think it was lost in communication. Next visit I will get it spicy.

The order tablets they use have an option for "extra spicy." I have had to talk to the owner but now order most of my items with four "extra spicy" choices added and they get it right most of the time. Sometimes it takes some convincing to get the server to add that many additions though.
