Sounds like it is worth a try, but I think I need to see a better health inspection first.

Restaurant Inspections

We should all be concerned about health violations in our local restaurants. If the new owners of Legacy want to market themselves as an "upscale" restaurant, I would think they would be very concerned about the negative publicity. Just like the person who commented on the timing of this finding, I, too, wondered why this violation wasn't found and corrected while the renovations were taking place. Legacy was one of my favorite restaurants under the previous ownership, and while I'm curious to see the renovations, I think I'll wait a while before trying this new version. NOTE: I am not a "hater"--just cautious.

Mickey & Minnie

Calling people haters because their concern about mouse's running around having a pooping party is ridiculous. It's a common sense concern. The owners aren't new to opening up restaurants. There was major over sight here. Something that shouldn't have happened. Just days before opening no less. So for the idiots that say "don't come more for us', fine go for it. In the mean time I'll wait it out. Say hi to Mickey and Minnie for me.

This to me means they weren't done yet. This all could have been in one small and insignificant area. They were reinspected and passed on the same day so it could not have been that big of an issue.
Jumping to conclusions is such a popular activity on TOTV.

A lot of these comments are being made by people who have never worked in the food industry or have never tried to open a new restaurant or reopen a restaurant after an extensive renovation. I have. While it was only a week before reopening that Marion County decided to inspect a closed establishment, I can guarantee that the kitchen etc were in total chaos trying to prepare to open. Not being a conspiracy theorist but it does seem like Marion County tried to do everything it could to delay or to hamper the opening of this place. From delayed inspections for plumbing, electrical etc when the owner called to a surprise health inspection before the restaurant was ready to open, they weren't there to help. They were there to hinder. Did you know that the new owner kept 75 employees working at his other establishments since August even though he didn't need them there to preserve their jobs ?

I think today is the first day of them being open for real. The soft opening, designed to uncover problems is over. Let's see how they do. I wish them all the success in the world. And no, I am not affiliated with the businesses the owner has here in The Villages in any way.

Going by the address in the inspection report and the fact that the facility is listed as having seating for 16, the inspection was for the pool bar.

If this I true, and I have no reason to doubt, does that mean all those so concerned about the report are full of Applesauce?
Further, will they now go for a meal this week?
