Very true. Went to an Italian restaurant that we have been to several times but never for pizza.

Decided to order Sicilian slices. Barely edible and disappointing. Will go back but not for sicilian.

And my feedback to the restaurant was very detailed and appropriate, and raised questions that the restaurant didn't want to answer. I would suggest that, instead of criticizing the reviewer, it would be more helpful to post your own review.

You don't know that. That is why you are getting the comments that you are getting.

My question is: Just what is that you want from the restaurant. You complain that they are not answering you. What should they say? Are you looking for your money back? A coupon for free meal? You seem to want something.

The food and drink prices here are more than going to any other restaurant, including more upscale ones. I guess this will be another country club to avoid.

For my tastes only pizza I found worth going back for Marco’s pepperoni.:icon_hungry: I gave up on supreme or combination pizza’s around here. Another thing I never tasted so much Blane Mexican food till I got here also. Gave up on that too. :yuck:

Think your right. Not to mention that if a place of business has website that asks for comments or complaints, somebody should respond to complaints.

I don't want my money back or a free meal. I asked them if they changed their recipe or if the pizza maker made a mistake. If they changed the recipe, I won't go back. But, they didn't reply to me at all.

Did they change the recipe, have no recipe, or have an employee who ignores the recipe because they think everyone wants extra cheese? In my opinion, pizza should be made using a strict recipe where all ingredients are measured the same way every time.

I went to their website and sent a feedback message through their system and followed up on it. It has been 7 days, and I have received no reply or acknowledgement of any type. I have to conclude that the Mallory Hill restaurant is poorly managed.

It’s a simple question. Why didn’t you just ask if the recipe changed. It didn’t have to be a complaint. If it was a large party, perhaps they were trying to get the food out quickly. But wow, you’re a tough crowd. It’s been your go to and now after one not even bad experience, just too much cheese and not enough sauce is enough to make you not go back and post about it? Jeez.

Talk about compensating for a mediocre pizza place. You gotta road trip to Tampa if you want anything near authentic and Barstool level...Portnoy reviewed pies. Its the only thing i'll yield to NYC...and its well deserved....but never replicated in central FL. Unless youre from parts of the country where Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dominos, Little Caesars ....saw dust style pizza is your measuring standard. If you dont like my review....im from Orlando! :1rotfl:

this has 97 replies so far...a pizza complaint? make that 98 with my reply. is this really a complaint, or is someone making this up? and to reply to it is mind boggling.....

Very few commented on your review...

It was your reaction to the problem that garnered most of the negative replies...

Portnoy's highest reviews almost always come from outside of NYC...

Yeah, I should have said recently...

His most recent top pizzas have come from CT, RI and NJ...

He's been branching out of NYC, of late...

Mallory was not Poorly managed!! Because of one pizza, does not make a restaurant poorly managed. Mallory is known throughout The Villages for their quality pizza. Did you check bill to see if extra cheese was requested? The person that makes pizza most of the time, is OUTSTANDING!

My comment about management was that they totally ignored several of my attempts to contact them through their website's contact section.

Stu from NYC 08-23-2024 12:11 PM

We went there for dinner two weeks ago and wife ordered a white pizza. She liked it but I thought it was severely undercooked.

Happy she liked it I had fish and chips which were fine

OK. But that does not mean that the restaurant is poorly managed.

Well, The OP's problem is solved since Mallory changed ownership late July. Haven't been there yet since that but plan to give it a try now that the dust has settled with the buyout.

So, totally ignoring a customer after 5 attempts to contact them is good management?

Certainly doesn't get them high marks in the "communication" skill, but other management skills could be good.
