Default New Bagels and More at Colony Plaza

Bagels and More has opened in the Juans Mexicali location in Colony Plaza. I tried the place the last 2 days for breakfast. Had cranberry Orange muffin yesterday and a raisin cinnamon bagel today, both with coffee. Both were good and the price reasonable (less than Starbucks). It is well staffed and the staff was very friendly.

Thanks for this information. Didn't know it was open as yet. I need some bagels. Will check it out. Are the bagels as good as New York bagels?

Hi DickY
Next time you're there will you, please, check and see if they offer Wifi connection? Sounds like a nice addition to Colony Plaza.

Had breakfast there last week with some friends and I must say it was very good. Enjoyed the bagels. Clean place and very friendly people. Would recommend it to all.

It's good to hear such nice reviews, we'll try Bagels and More when we get into TV again.

Angry Same Old Place

If you are happy with the breakfast, don't EVER go there for lunch. We went yesterday, and waited 45 minutes for two VERY poor sandwiches. Oh by the way, there were only two couples ahead of us. The 2 kids preparing the sandwiches could care less what they were doing.

If you have been to this restaurant prior to its magic "transformation" to a Bagel Place, you only have to look around to see the same incompetent manager and the same exact staff. I realize that you can't really mess up a muffin and a cup of coffee. If you are thrilled with this restaraunt, just go for a bagel...don't go for lunch. The waitress, I agree was friendly, but I felt extremely sorry for her, because all she did was apologize to all the customers there.

You don't know me, BUt if you did, you would realize that I am not a person that complains, so for me to write this review is a testimony to a "bad bagel place." Hopefully, somone else will agree. If not, enjoy!

thomas;

I REALLY hate to shoot down a brand new restaurant as we can always use some variety here in TV. I also know this is a hard way to make a living.

That being said I was in this place Monday just to try their bagels. I ordered 3 different ones "to go" and was there for 15 minutes! I admire some stores that hire the handicapped but this cashier was not only uninformed and unskilled she couldn't have cared less. Apparently, neither did the owner who I recognized from his photo in The Daily Sun.

I sincerely hope they get their act together and realize they only have ONE chance to make a first impression.

Oh, the bagels --- mediocre.

Unhappy

I'm sad... I was really hoping this bagel place would be a good place for the "Hadleyites" or "TV Southerners" to meet and greet but I too have not had good experiences.

The servers were helpful but the cashier was completely uninformed and not interested.

I'll will still give them another try because they are so handy and I do hope they improve with time. Maybe I'll try to give them some advice, that might help.

Default Need to do just one thing Right

I think their problem is that they try to do too much. They sell a few bagels, they sell a few sandwiches, they make a few salads, and they sell a little wine. It would be great to just have a bagel and coffee place. If they could do just THAT MUCH well, they would do just fine. By noon the other day they had run out of bagels. Too bad I was hoping for more.

Kathi, maybe you and I should buy the business, and show them how a real NY Bagel is made

Donna, we should buy the bagel place and the pizza place and we'll make a FORTUNE!! Yeah sure!!

But I agree again with Lushix, we sure are on the same page.... how can a bagel place run out of bagels mid day???? Same thing happened to me the other day.

Who needs wine at a bagel place, the coffee is excellent btw...
