Arrived 8:16PM. Bacon and eggs w. pancakes , Pancakes only, apple crisp, 2 scoops ice cream ordered. 1 H2Ow/ lemon, 2 coffee, 1 lemonade.
Tara was the server.
Table was wet/dirty. Argued with another server that she cleaned her table (now OUR table). Brought 3 beverages, 1 straw and 5 minutes later, after reminding her twice, water sans lemon. Asked for lemon, "I got this table after they were cut" whatever that meant.
Pancakes and egg meals came at 8:35pm. Tara was waiting on 2 other groups who arrived after us.... by 15 minutes.
She had to be reminded of lemon 4 times. Asked for another straw, "I don't have one" as she walked away. "CAN YOU GET ONE"?
At 9:07pm, apple crisp arrives ICE COLD and the ice cream never shows up.
If this is the caliber of staff now employed there, this is certainly the LAST time they will see us. The woman who is acting manager ate the bill but that is not the point.
This server was in a cloud. The tension between the staff was palpable.
Pathetic service and I will not be back there.
I haven't been this uncomfortable since walking past methadone clinics daily in Flushing, NY in the '70s.

I was only satisfied at Denny's in CA, and that was back in the early 90's. I've found the tables to be greasy and dirty. Wiping without spraying, etc. Route 30, going into Atlantic City is the worst. Never stepped foot into a Denny's since. Thanks for the "things haven't changed" head's-up.

I went there once. Sat at the counter. The staff had a new waitress that day at the counter. She was trying really hard but the veteran staff were making snide remarks and just trying to drag her down to their despicable level. Never again

Well, there is a great Denny's in Marshal, MI. Wish we had a great one here.

Have not eaten at a Denny's since moving here, but they weren't bad in the Chicago area. There's a Bob Evans just a short golf cart ride away that cures my breakfast fix.

How would someone know that?
What goes betterwith dumpster food..... Red or White (maybe just something with a screw-off cap) ?

Wasn't it Denny's that got in trouble years ago for not serving a bunch of minority FBI offices (quickly). If I remember right they got sued they also had to send all of their employees for training. They never fought the case

Which Denny's did you go to? There are two on 441. The one in The Villages was pretty bad when we last went there about 7 years ago. The one in Leesburg across from Walmart is okay.
