That's exactly what my hair dresser's sister in-law said too.

Not a rumor a fact that Cane Garden was sold by The Villages to new owners in Feb. Louis. the chef, was named general manager but then let go this past weekend.
They are closing down for 2 weeks in September for a redo and had a meeting with contractors about doing something with the outside possibly closing it in which would really help during "bird" season crowds. Lots of new faces with waitstaff.

They own the business, aka the food facility. They lease the building from the developer. It's literally the same as any restaurant in any plaza or square.

Exactly, they don't own Cane Garden as the OP put in the title.

Ate at cane a couple days ago. We had the chiken tenders for a appetizer and they were great. I ordered the Thursday special....corn beef and cabbage and my lovely lady ordered the shrimp dinner. We enjoyed both meals....oh and i forgot to mention the 2 Manhattans. We enjoyed the OUTSIDE atmosphere as there was no way Id eat inside of that musty place...

They are making changes v

They have a new breakfast menu as of yesterday. They are working on a new lunch and dinner menu. They will also be making changes to the restaurant inside and out in the near future

Well, if they say To have planned not to change anything then they need to revisit their pizza making process, because as soon as I received my order, I noticed a small flat bread in my dish instead of pizza. I even told the server that if I wanted flat bread I would have had lunch at CityFire instead. Please teach your cook how to make the right dough. Thank you.

The Developer needs to recruit some new restaurant owner/managers. Food and service not the best makes business drop and then closures. Too few operators so 4 or 5 restaurants are the same--not much choice. Most places are okay. But we need variety and good service.

I second that
