$4.50 for the mini cakes, according to the sign in their store which I looked through their window a half hour ago.

I am in Omaha during the summer. Everything I’ve had here has been exceptional. Looking forward to our new one in TV.

I see they are open and take orders online which you can schedule to come pick up. NOTHING but cool.

Would love to get your opinion on what their Nothing Bundt Cakes are like when they open up in Lady Lake. The Villages Daily Sun had a October 2, 2021 opening estimated today in their Construction Coverage.

Well I went there today to check it out but it’s closed on Sunday. Guess I’ll try again later.

ChathamGirl 10-03-2021 03:13 PM

Well $4.50 is about standard. A dessert in a fine restaurant would cost at least that if not more.

OrangeBlossomBaby 10-03-2021 03:25 PM

I picked up a chocolate-chocolate chip one yesterday to try it for the first time.

Not enthused at all. It wasn't very moist. There were only maybe 5-6 chocolate chips in the whole thing. The icing was WAY too sugary, no actual flavor, just sugar.

If they used miniature chips and put in a good palmful in each one, I think that'd help a lot. And maybe a nice chocolate glaze instead of that nasty lump of piped, semi-soft sugar.

I'll stick with the Duncan Hines devil's food cake and my grandmother's fudge frosting.

Taltarzac725 10-03-2021 07:13 PM

I picked up some Vanilla Sliced Loaf Cake at a local Publix to hold me over until I can make it to Nothing Bundt Cakes.

There was a German bakery shop in Belmont, CA which I would often go to before my walk up to my work which was in the Belmont Hills. Had a very nice view of San Francisco Bay from up there. Belmont Hill - Peakbagger.com

Great!

I went there today and bought 2 mini Bundt cakes, one vanilla and one lemon to test. Well, they are DELICIOUS! Very moist and the frosting is great. Well worth $4.50 each. You’d pay more than that in any restaurant for sure. They are much better than Publix or Walmart or any other grocery store. Would make a great gift. I have a custom cupcake business online, Deez Cupcake Bouquets, and I know what a good bakery product tastes like. This is it! I will definitely be going again. So glad we finally got a good bakery here.

You have an online cupcake business, and are promoting another bakery. That’s very kind of you.

I bought a red velvet and also a lemon Bundtlets at Nothing Bundt Cakes and the red velvet was quite good. Saving the lemon for tomorrow morning.

And $4.50 means that. I bought these two for $9.00 and that included tax. So $11.00 back from a twenty.

Taltarzac725 10-07-2021 10:59 AM

I actually got a Classic Vanilla and a Red Velvet Bundtlet. Liked the Red Velvet Bundtlet a lot more but both were quite good and well worth the $4.50 each.

We have 4 stores within 1/2 of our north home, bought from rip them on occasion about 4 years ago. For a tiny cake it’s good, didn’t wow me for almost $5. Sugar is very low on my list, for everyday, but for some it’s a great treat, for other it’s addicting.

Must be a pretty popular store if you have 4 stores withing easy driving distance of your northern home.

I could see how Nothing Bundt Cakes could be addicting.

All 4 stores are owned by the same franchise individual. They are friends, who were looking for an investment. The stores are in very high rent affluent areas. 80% of sales is 12-100 cakes per order. Rarely do you see someone buying 1 or 2. During holidays if you don’t order ahead, you are out of luck.

Good to know.

I ate the Nothing Bundtlet for breakfast. The Pumpkin Spice one which was very good and well worth $4.50.

They had a steady traffic there yesterday afternoon.

Cake for breakfast maybe I should try that sometimes instead of the 100% liquid eggs I put in a bowl and heat for 2 minutes and put on wheat bread with extra virgin olive oil , but if I ate cake in the morning I wouldn’t be able to get into my size 28 skinny jeans lol

I am going with the cake!

charlieo1126@gmail.com 10-16-2021 09:21 AM

And a dear friend of mine would also, in fact she has stated she would eat almost anything before that meal

pauld315 10-17-2021 09:18 PM

They are fantastic and I hope they succeed here but I doubt they will because of the price. Villagers want large portions for cheap prices, this is not the place for that.

The shopping area is not limited to the Villages residents - so there is hope that others will enjoy the quality despite the price!

Babubhat 10-19-2021 05:27 AM

Perhaps among your circle of acquaintances "cheap" is more important than quality. I know lots of people who enjoy quality.

On the Charter School's Buffalo Discount Card, there is an offer to get a free bundtlet when you buy 2. Bundtlets are small cakes. We get 2 portions from one bundtlet.

malikjam 10-19-2021 04:57 PM

Will check the out on Friday. I hope they are as good as their store in San Antonio.

I got a Lemon Bundtlet a few days ago and it was OK. Not as good as the Classic Vanilla, Pumpkin Spice nor the Red Velvet one. The Red Velvet is my favorite so far.

On another note, I drove through San Antonio in the Spring of 1996 on the way to Florida. It is quite a pretty city.

We are happy they are open here and find that one of those mini cakes is PERFECT for a shared dessert for two. I can not think of anywhere else you could get such a great little dessert for less than $5....and we sure don't need an entire cake (the bake it yourself option)

Taltarzac725 10-24-2021 06:22 AM

Purchased a Marble and also a Carrot Bundtlet recently at Nothing Bundt Cakes. Both were good but liked the Carrot one a lot more.

They were doing a steady business when I was there.

“….Perfect for two”. I ain’t sharin’ mine!

The lemon is my fave. Confetti and vanilla second and third, respectively. I though their carrot was really dry and somewhat flavorless. I haven’t tried the chocolate, but I doubt it could beat the triple chocolate crème from Aldi. (Absolutely delicious and about $4 for almost a full size bundt cake that NBC sells for $25)

Everything in moderation is a wise adage to live by - no?

Bought a Confetti Bundtlet recently and ate it this morning. Pretty good for nothing. Bundt Cake Flavors, Nutrition & Ingredients | Nothing Bundt Cakes

Only have three more flavors to go and then will have tried them all.

I bought a Classic Vanilla and a Pumpkin Spice bundtlet last week. Still have them. Making them last since I'm all the way down in Fenney and I don't get up that way too often. The pumpkin was good but the vanilla was better. The icing is a bit too thick though. Not something I'd get too often but I had to try it.
