Wow I did stir things up with my opinion of NYPD Pizza. Look they put in bold advertising ' A Taste Of New York " to claim that is really a stretch not even remotely close.

Honestly the pizza is.. Bland, Skimpy Toppings, and basically Boring. It certainly is a run of the mill pizza that can be gotten anywhere. Like most eateries here in the Villages the food is Bland, Boring, Tasteless, Lacking in Imagination, and pretty much one step above hospital food and pretty much what you find in any airline terminal.

Now having said all that if anyone thinks that their favorite place to go out for dinner is great, and the chef is one step away from being discovered, Congratulations..Please Tell Everyone Where This " Gem " is. It has to be Secret.

I have been to NYC and I had the pizza it was good. I lived in Italy for three years, now that was excellent pizza. The Italians would probably feel about NYC pizza as you do about pizza from any place but NYC.

I've had Little Caesar pizza in NYC and in FL. Taste the same to me!

Bravo's really? One of the worst pizzas we've ever eaten I'm not from New York but I'm a New Englander and know a good pizza and Bravos isn't .Really haven't found a good pizza here but Toscani's, Giovanni's & Mallory are decent. If we want delivery we call Papa Johns.

There's a myth that it's the water that makes the NYC pizza different. I call it a myth because while there's plenty of water in NYC, it's not anything you'd want to drink. The NYC reservoirs are in Westchester and Putnam counties north of NYC and east of the Hudson River as well as in Sullivan, Delaware, Ulster and Schoharie and maybe other counties, all west of the Hudson River and as much as 150 miles north of NYC. As you can see, NYC water comes from many places. To credit the water in NYC for the taste of the pizza ignores that fact that great pizza can be found in suburban NY in New Jersey, Connecticut, Rockland and Orange and Westchester counties and even on Long Island with each of these localities having their own water supply.

I will make this really quick: Ordered a large pizza on Sept.13th 2013 a Friday $ 20.00 and change.

Now NYPD touts their pizza as a taste of New York..ya know what they should be Arrested !!The Pizza is really terrible, I had Pepperoni, Sausage, and Cheese. Simple right ? What I got was a very bland run of the mill pizza, that you can get anywhere.

Honestly Do Not Waste your time going to NYPD expecting a good pizza you will be sadly disappointed." A Taste Of New York " Give me a Break " !!

We went for our first time and we were VERY disappointed! Ordered very light cheese on my half, and it came LOADED with cheese. They made another one, and they put the light cheese on his half (he had different ingredients than me). Also we oordered double pepperoni, and it didn't even look like it had single pepperoni..........VERY skimpy on the meat. Won't go back to NYPD but will go to Flippers again.

For of the individuals that I helped in my very humble opinion of NYPD Pizza I will say a very, very, humble " THANK YOU " and " YOUR WELCOME "

For those who choose to be repeat customers of NYPD Pizza,..One tiny suggestion..Go to the frozen food section of your favorite supermarket pick out any frozen pizza, prepare as directed. Then it is game on : NYPD Pizza vs Frozen Pizza. Now do it as a blind test ..Lights out NYPD Pizza.

I was told it made bagels different. And it makes you drive funny.:ohdear:

I think Cincinnati made La Rosa's pizza is the best in the world. Truth be told the pizza that you grew up with is the best. Chicago people say their pizza is the best and New York say their's is the best. They don't know because most of them have not ever been to Cincinnati. :icon_hungry:

The guy who designed and built the Brooklyn Bridge built our Cincinnati bridge first. Ours is prettier.

Outa here and hiding under the bed.

Gracie, my youngest sister who has lived in the Cincinnati area since 1991 is a big fan of LaRosa's pizza. Her husband has lived in the Cincinnati area his whole life and he also loves LaRosa's pizza.

Of course I am older and wiser than my sister, and Lou Malnati's pizza from Chicago is the best. Just my two cents.

Roebling also built a bridge over the Delaware River connecting Minisink Ford, NY with Lackawaxen, PA. It's a neat old suspension bridge which was built as an aqueduct to carry water over the Delaware as part of the D&H Canal. Now it carries auto traffic and pedestrians. It used to have a small toll, a dime if I recall correctly. They might have eliminated the toll.

NYPD would NOT be my choice for a Pizza. I can have a REAL quality pie at Flippers in Spanish Springs.
