Default Pizza lovers

We were at a friend's house last night and they ordered Pizza from Little Joey's at 16840 US-441 #401, Summerfield, FL 34491. If you live in the Spanish Springs area, it's close, but for others, it is a haul. Their menu looks good.

Anyway, we were very delighted to find another good Italian restaurant We have been going to Piezano's or Roberto's, and now there's another one to try.

When we get carry out pizza, we asked for it to be partially cooked and uncut. When we get it home, we put it in the oven at 400 for 8-10 minutes. No more cold pizzas.

We ask for it (just a regular cheese pie) to be uncooked. Some will some will not.

Some restaurants are afraid you will sue them for food poisoning if you eat an uncooked pizza. But, Walmart and Publix both sell uncooked pizzas.

If we wanted them with meat would understand but a simple pizza with sauce and cheese do not see the point.

Sams and Aldi will sell uncooked.

The pizza maker at Bravo said it was due to the mozzerela used by pizza places as compared to what supermarkets used but no idea if that is correct.

Try Francesco's for decent Italian food---same plaza (Baylee), just about 7 or 8 stores north

It may be the difference between a restaurant and a grocery store. Grocery stores sell lots of uncooked food, but restaurants are only supposed to sell cooked food.

I think the owner's name is Franco. He is about 5 feet tall and he is almost always there running around carrying food. I think that is why it is a good restaurant. FYI, his wife is about 12 inches taller than him.

If you want to try really great pizza go to NYPD Pizza on 466 near Walmart. I'm a New Yorker and I have found this to be the best authentic style pizza around. Try their Staten Island double-stuffed pizza. You won't be sorry.

You can buy pizza dough at Publix in a ball or flatten in a circle.
Making a pizza is not rocket science.
By the time you phone and wait for the pie to be delivered, you'll be on your third slice.

Had pizza one time at Little Joey’s. To say it was awful is an understatement! Never again
