Default Olde Town Bake Shoppe??

I think that was the name....anyway it was on 466 in front of Walmart....near the new Barney's, Chengs and Big City....

They were a GREAT bakery....great pizza and bagels....I HEARD they have closed the doors...

They just had their grand opening in Sept or October.....this is very sad!!

They were a wonderful couple that owned the shop!!

I know that the Mrs. came on TOTV occasionally....if you read this please know that some of us are very sad!!

I am sorry to hear that.

I found the best glazed donuts in my entire life at the Walmart in TV.

I used to go there about twice a week for bagels and excellent pot pies that I could freeze and pop in the oven at any time. I'd noticed recently that they were no longer advertising in The Daily Sun. When a small business is in trouble this is usually the first expense item to be cut. Almost always a bad idea. Now we need another REAL bakery in TV.

I wonder if the Fresh Market bakery took their business. I too loved their
pot pies. I just found the Fresh Market pot pies and they are excellent. The manicurist next store said they just walked away from the business. I'm always sorry to see the small business owners lose out.

They had a very limited selection of items for a bakery such as we New Yorkers are used to. A bakery needs to carry a lot more items to survive.

Default Definitely Closed!

Just FYI ~

This is a fact. The place is closed. We were having lunch at Cheng's today(still the best Chinese food in the area, as far as we're concerned), which is two or three doors down from the bakery. Not only is it closed, it appears that all the equipment and furnishings are gone. I only bought bagels there, but I sure thought they were good.

I "heard" that they told staff they were closing for 3-4 days on Holiday at Thanksgiving time...and never returned....called their staff on the Sunday night and said they were not coming back to the shop....VERY sad!!!
