When it's my time, I'm hoping for a 100% left main lesion---gone in 60 seconds, no fuss. In the meantime, to quote Travolta from "Pulp Fiction"---"pork chops taste good, bacon tastes good"
(If that comment doesn't yank VPL out of "retirement", nothing will:1rotfl:)

I too miss VLP. I don't think he has even looked at TOTV for quite some time. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/fo...ages-pl-26758/

Oh yum & adding cheese to the mix we could have lobster mac & cheese (with lots of cheese, of course) with crumbled bacon all over the top.:MOJE_whot:

Is it better to have loved and lost or not have loved? The place is crowded so no one will notice.

We love this place to eat and the people who work there have always been very friendly. We always comment on how well its's run. People make mistakes, have you never been forgiven Mr. First Poster?

"No McAlister's for you" sounds a little extreme if that is what actually happened.

Unless you get it first hand I would not count on us getting at the facts. Even then it is often messy.

Second hand stories concerning one baked potato to go are not post worthy. Now talking about Pulp Fiction, that should be a sticky thread.
"It's a chopper, baby."

Although I am boycotting all Quentin films. Got to support the po-po!

All the Tarantino movies except The Hateful Eight are all gone from movie theaters. Great music score in that movie and it probably will win the Oscar in that category if no other.

On the original topic, I will have to try this Deli myself some time. McAlister's Deli

I really dislike the idea of blacklists and boycotts. They seem very Un American.

Don't understand the fuss, if there was another half of a potato under the whole one that's just seems like a bonus. One and a half baked potatoes for the price of one--priceless.

It is probably the half-eaten part of the story.

When they got home they found that under the baked potato was a half eaten potato and a partially opened butter container. They went back with this to show to McCallisters and they received a voucher for a future meal. They then were contacted by the wife of the manager who accused them of trying to rip them off. She told them that they would not honor the voucher and were not welcomed there anymore. I have to believe my friend as he has no reason to lie about this and is not that kind of person. If so I wonder about this women's business acumen. It doesn't make much sense to me why someone would accuse a customer who returned an item that they purchased that they were trying to rip them off.

Still think someone who knows the manager of McAlister's in Brownwood should contact them about this thread. It has almost 2000 views now.
