Just make a deal with the person who you meet at the front door. Show the a Twenty or Fifty Dollar Bill and you will be seated quickly. I think I called first the first couple of times I did this and gave them a name they couldn’t forget. It worked.

EDIT: I just looked at the Chop House website and it says to call the restaurant to make reservations for parties of 5 or more. We are a larger party so I will either have to call or go to the restaurant in person. I prefer to go in person.

Last year, Chop House told me the same thing.......not taking reservations until the day after Thanksgiving. Well......Last year, I was at Chop House when they opened at 11am the day after Thanksgiving to make a reservation for Christmas Eve. I was told they were all booked up the for time I asked for.

They had no explanation for me when I explained to them I was told they did not take reservations until after Thanksgiving. I still don't understand it.
