Know it well but their menu never changes.

Go for beef. A dry aged ribeye steak medium rare cannot be beat.

I always have a nice steak at Mark's. I'll let YOU tell my wife she can't eat the fish. Just make sure you have your affairs in order first.

Chicken is ok too. I eat it often, but I would never pay a restaurant for a chicken meal.

And my direct response to your point is...YES!

First place suggested was The Rose Plantation, and there's where we ended up going...

It fit the description of what I was looking for perfectly. We hadn't been there before and it's definitely a bit different. The food was very good. It's a bit pricey, but there were several entrees for around $20, so it would be possible to eat there without going overboard. But it was our anniversary and we did go overboard...and enjoyed every penny of it!

The country atmosphere and setting may not be for everybody, but we enjoyed it very much.

Heheh. Post #35.

We enjoyed it very much. As part of my brief "review", I stated it may not be for everyone. But it was a very enjoyable and different place. "Different" was high on my list of desirables, so we were very pleased.

I'm sorry that I missed your review. Thank you very much. Now, it's on my list of places to try.
