OK I stand corrected anyhoo Red Sauce " Terrific " as well, Glenview I have not tried however been reading some recent comments, so far so good.

Meanwhile " Cane Garden " they will skate by soon with the return of the " Seasonals " that will likely Rescue them, otherwise Bon Voyage. :boom:

I met a friend there for lunch today. I had salad nichoise, she had iceberg wedge salad. We both loved the food and service. Looking forward to going there again..

Do you think the "ok" steak issue was the meat or the prep??

They might be testing "market pricing limits" at $54.

Thanx

Think its so helpful of you to type in big fonts so we all can see.

I think you can at the Brownwood Farmers Market. There is a lovely Vietnamese woman who carries several varieties of mushrooms along with other difficult-to-find food items. She’s there every Saturday morning in one of the larger stands on the outside perimeter.

I'll look out for her next time! Thanks

The food and service are excellent at Chop House. There are only 3 items that are marked MP. The rest of the menu has prices for every item. The prices are reasonable for the quality. Give them a try.

Ate at the Chop House and overall it was pretty good. Four of us had the filet mignon, three 9 oz and one 5 oz. All had the baked potato and bearnaise sauce.

Positives:
The steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare as ordered.
Service was good.
Baked potato was excellent as was the bearnaise sauce.

Not so positives:
The 9 oz.steaks were really nice cuts, the 5 oz. steak was a remnant.
Noise level was way too high.
Server couldnt understand that ground pepper would be nice to have on a Caesar salad.

So overall it is not the classic chophouse that I had hoped for, but I will be back. Probably on the outside patio where my expectations will be less.
