First time at the Ruby Thai on Canal st. I had the Shrimp Sweet and sour, my wife had the Pad Thai and we really enjoyed the food and the ambiance and the lack of noise, we will do that again.
Thanks for the tip on the Beans and Rice, we will do that soon.

Good food. Good service. Good prices. Steak and onions with yellow rice and sweet plantains to die. Can't miss. Beenthere several times and will be back there again soon.

It sounds more like Puerto Rican food than Mexican or, specifically, Tex-Mex, or do they have both?

I would call it a Latin fusion. There is Puerto Rican, Colombian, Mexican, Cuban and specials. Not really Tex-Mex. More like Pedro-Villages. Very good at what they do.
