An angry thread that should not have been started without thought and consideration. "Angry" because of the illogical and tasteless reference to snowbirds.

Snowbirds didn't cause your bar order to get messed up. Guess what, I'm sure they are recipients of sometimes messed up drink requests!

Wow.

I'm a year rounder, and a human being, just like the snowbirds. :)

What is dirty ice???:confused::shrug:

Did the snowbirds bring it?

billethkid 01-03-2015 05:25 PM

I give up and I'll be the one to bite....what is a TITLES club?

Chatbrat 01-03-2015 05:54 PM

Dirty ice is the ice that the martini is shaken in & left over after the drink is poured

Chatbrat 01-03-2015 05:56 PM

Titles club is meant as a counter to those who though I should have changed the title of my OP

Even Stevie Wonder could see that you tied the declining service to the seasonal residents.

Chatbrat: My husband and I went to see "St. Vincent" last weekend at LSL and had a 1.5 hour window before the movie started. We went to an "unnamed" outside bar and had drinks and a casual bite to eat from the bar menu. This place is always short-staffed. HOWEVER, in the one hour we sat at the bar, I witnessed several, rude patrons speak to the Barstaff in a VERY condescending manner. After they got their "round of drinks" many actually left a quarter or 50cent tip!.....I was appalled witnessing this. We too ALWAYS tip 20%!!! HOWEVER, when you are serving rude, cheap patrons repeatedly, the "attitude" sets in and it sounds like you were unfortunately on the receiving end.......Snowbirds or Full time Residence is a personal choice and everybody deserves to be treated respectfully....SORRY that happened to you!!!

NO ONE deserves any more than anyone else, we all pay... We have lots of friends who are seasonal residents. It's not our issue that anyone chooses not to live here year round.

This is not aimed @ the snow birds. honestly--Ray Charles could see my intent & excuse ME for not being a member of the TITLES club

Then why the title?

Some of the Snow birds view this is as a vacation which gives an extra does of entitlements. This should not be considered unusual but rather the different psychology of a resident vs various form of "visitor". I believe to deny this is to deny what is a normal difference in 'care of the villages". The rewards of having visitors vs residents is an interesting debate? If you lived here in July you would see the significant difference in traffic, waiting in line almost everywhere while in July you can just move around without that kind of frustration. That is a way of life. I guess my greatest concern with the Dec-March visitors is their disrespect for speed, the lack of following the law regarding golf carts, (e.g.speeding, allowing kids to drive them, disregarding other carts, etc.) Of course we have this a little in the summer but no where near as in the winter months. It's the "vacation" attitude which governs that behavior.

I have to agree about your post not its content!:shrug:

Both twists were wedges & the Goose up was served in a glorified shot glass . We still tipped our normal 20% & left . Went to Evans Prairie to finish our meal ,

Maybe you should start over............................

I believe all the restaurants in LSL have names.

Was Evans Prairie service poor as well or were there no snowbirds there?
Your statements are in poor taste!

Agree with you Bogie Shooter.

Hmmm, sounds like someone IS a member of the TITLES club by boasting he never spends less than $100 every time they go out. My wife and I have been eating out for years and we've never came close to spending that, and no, we don't only eat fast food.
