I know you had a meeting awhile ago and one comment that I should add that obviously needs resolution is the floor was filthy. When you see food on the floor obviously some sloppy customer has spilled it but there was enough help to tour the eating area with a portable carpet sweeper. My S.I.L refuses to go back to LSL because there was no excuse for it to be such a mess with a 3/4 empty restaurant. Also I remember the temperature being mentioned as another poster's complaint and we had to ask to move because it was freezing and that was after your mgmt. meeting. We're not complainers(honest)and eat out often. This was our 2nd visit there during our April visit. We liked the food but shortcomings still exist. We didn't need to use the restrooms but that's another major area for us. If they're filthy :wave:
We appreciate your efforts to get the problems resolved. If they have the salad bar in when we come down to close in July, S.I.L won't be with us and we'll give it another try.

One thing I hate in ANY restaurant is someone pushing the Bessel sweeper around when I am trying to eat. It irks me to no end. Maybe they could close off a section at a time and do the sweeping. If a bunch of pigs were extra sloppy, the bus person should take care of that with a broom and a dust pan when they clean up the table.

As for the bathrooms, I totally agree. A messy bathroom is a sign of a messy kitchen.

As for the A/C, in Florida you take a sweater or jacket with you into any restaurant as it is likely to be cold. It you are not near a vent, you are near a fan. That is not a Sonny-only problem.

PS: Never eat at Logan's. For some reason, they want you to toss the peanut shells on the floor

I was hoping to go back and read a "she" in Skip's post to redeem myself. Alas, there was no third-person pronoun. So, the answer is either:

A) Heck no
B) Shoot yes
C) Son-in-law never occurred to me
D) I didn't think a guy would notice a dirty floor

C is the best answer. Followed by D. :duck:

And guys do notice dirty floors. I remember going into a Longhorn Steakhouse in NC (where they throw the peanut shells on the floor) with a friend and he looked a little upset. When I asked him "was there a problem?", he said the floor was filthy. I explained to him about the tradition of tossing the peanut shells on the floor and then he was okay.

Also, there is dirty and there is DIRTY. It's a man thing.

Z, Just kidding about D. It would be kind of interesting though, now that you mentioned it, to know whether most men read it and thought son-in-law and most women thought sister-in-law. Or it could just be that I translated it as sister-in-law because I have one, while I don't have a son-in-law. Or it could just be this is another bad, bad hijacking. Although, now I am curious whether you have a son-in-law but not a sister-in-law. Do you?

Good Lord, after reading all these posts I don't even remember what I wrote:laugh: Because I could see her I new she was a S.I.L. But of course your right with the gender boo-boo. And I agree whole heartidly with the carpet sweeper not being around my food. What made the furor was the restaurant was 3/4 empty(and that's being gracious with the count). Easily could have been cleaned even if the bus person(male or female, phew) got down on there hands & knees and picked up the various food items. The cold section that we were 1st seated in just wasn't tolerable. They cheerfully moved us to another table which was fine. This wasn't that the temp. in the whole place was bad, just certain areas. This was in April when the temps were beautiful outside and there wasn't a need for a jacket.

Living in Pennecamp, I don't feel like driving to 15 miles to Leesburg for a discount. Just being all the way down over here kind of separates us from most of the shopping. Colony Plaza has very little going for it. The nice bagel and Kona coffee place closed. :mornincoffee: I loved that place!

I don't think I should hold my breath until they build more "shoppertunities" on 466A. :sigh: LOL, Southern Trace is pretty far north for me!

Sonny's in LSL has a senior lunch special so you don't have to drive the 15mi. Just move your eyes to the ad on the left.

This Sonny's is unlike any other that I have been in. I grew up in Jacksonville and have been in MANY Sonny's. Most have attentive waitresses who know that attentive sevice brings tips. The LSL Sonny's is staffed by vacant minded people. Period. Nothing more need be said. We will never return. The manger of this place has no clue how to run a restaraunt. I expect a closed space early in 2011.
