Sonny's has been round Florida for many years in lots of locations. It is very popular everywhere.
I like their pulled pork sandwiches, mac and cheese, and the baked beans. Always a popular spot in The Villages. No one will miss a couple of "I will never go back" gourmets. |

We've always enjoyed Sonny's at any location. It's one of those establishments I'm really surprised when I hear of a bad review but anyone can have a bad day. I'm really shocked when I read a complaint and find the customer never expressed the problem to the manager Any decent restaurant manager or owner wants to know if somethings not right. If they don't they need to look for another career

One good thing about Applebees is the manager goes to each table before you get your bill. If he fails to, you get ten dollars off your next meal. Would like to see more restaurants adopt this policy..

Applebees is a great restaurant and I admitt I haven't been in one often enough. Never been failed by them either.

Tried three times at Sonnys. Each time worst than before. Just do not go there anymore

You posted on June 15 that you had a bad experience at Havana. You posted on June 23 the same message as today (7-19) that you tried Sonny's three times and disliked all three. You posted on June 24 that you had a bad experience at O'Shea's. You posted today the same message as on June 23 about Sonny's. Hope you find a restaurant that you like. Try Thai Ruby for an excellent choice of Thai food. Ask for it "medium plus" spice or it will be kind of bland as they have it that way for the older tastebuds around here. |

I went there sometime ago......I agree with you 100%....I never went back.....I have been to others in different places....this one is very poor all around...
|
I guess we are just too easy to please but we go to Sonny's about once a month and have never had a bad experience.
|
If it were not for mediocre chain restaurants in The Villages, there would be very few restaurants.
|
None of the Sonny's scattered around Florida and Georgia have ever impressed me as great restaurants, but have never been to one that was really bad either. I'd put it in the same category as Cracker Barrel - fairlymgood food for a reasonable price. We end up going to Sonny's here about once every couple of months, and it's pretty much the same as the other Sonny's in the chain, maybe a little better.
