Subway's meatball sub is delicious

Jersey Mike's makes a better tasting sub, IMO. Subway is more economical. The best subs (size, quality and cost) I've ever had were made by places now out of business, a small sub shop in Church Hill, MD called Ethel's and a small sub shop in Buckhannon, WV called Jesse's. Subway, I usually get a Italian BMT, 6 THIN slices of each meat, 8 THIN slices of cheese. JM, #2 Mike's way, and they don't seem to count slices as much as focusing on making it look correct. JM, I use the App and the sub is ready by the time I drive there, so no waiting.

I prefer Firehouse subs

Quiznos is my favorite. Too bad there is not one nearby.

I think that some will say that Jersey Mike's is way better than Subway. However, I will point out that the Subway footlong is 50 percent larger than the Jersey Mike's regular size, which is only 8 inches long. Both cost about the same price. Is the Jersey Mike's sandwich really worth the same price for 50 percent less food?

I can’t give you an unbiased opinion. I grew up with the first Jersey Mike’s. Nothing better in my opinion!

At one point in time Subway was using a filler in their bread that is also used to make gym mats. So I won't ever eat there.

I believe you're referring to one of the dozens of ingredients in a McRib

IMO Not fan of subway but like JMs and Firehouse subs. Subways are everywhere just like Publix some time’s convenient get busy.

Or Schlotzsky’s!!!

mminternet 04-05-2024 08:28 AM

I'm a Firehouse Sub Fan. MUCH better than the rest. Just my opinion...

Whatever footlong sub we get is a little too big for the two of us to consume the first day, so I slice the remainder in "pinwheels" and grill them them in a hot skillet for breakfast. This works especially well with the Publix Italian subs. So Yummy! Wish I had one now.

Their bread is to die for. Always looked forward to picking up an Albuquerque Turkey at the Austin Airport, but Schlotsky's must have gone away when they remodeled the terminal.

Had a Schlotzskys in MA for a brief period. Just didn’t work out there.... but that round bread and ingredients were great.
