Default Sushi

I love, love, love sushi. Hubby is out of town for a spell and doesn't care much for the stuff, so feeling lonely, I decided to give Sakura in Colony a try last night. Let's just say the "spread" inside the rice roll wasn't too fresh tasting. I know they've had great reviews and a couple sitting down the counter loved their choices and the presentation was a work of art and the cooked meals around me in the room looked and smelled wonderful so I'll give the place another try someday. I probably should have said something but didn't. Anyway...today, feeling the sushi urge even harder and well deserving of some self-comfort I went to the Publix off 466 and my tastebuds and belly are very satisfied! Even presented nicely and served with plenty of wasabi and a mound of fresh pickled ginger, not that Red Dye #2 pink stuff! If you don't have soy at home or in your glovebox, they have packets of 40% less sodium there. Ahhhh, I can see those midnight runs now!

Go to Fresh Market. You'll never go back to Publix!

Only one problem -- Publix closes at 9:00 pm. No midnight runs. BTW -- They'll make your order for you at Publix and the girl on 466 is really good (the guy on 466A is okay).

Sorry about Sakuru. I've had good luck with their sushi. If the chef didn't think the fish was fresh, he wouldn't serve it to me. You'll have to give me a call to join you.

You might want to give "Bamboo Bistro" a try. It's located in Rolling Acres Plaza. We have been there three times so far, and haven't been disappointed. I had sushi on my first visit, and it was fresh and delicious.
