Default thevillagesdeals??

Hi - I just noticed an ad on this website for thevillagesdeals and checked it out. It looks to be coupons for companies in this area, and the deals look pretty good! Has anyone bought any coupons from them yet? I want to buy the one for Gator's Dockside. Let me know!

Hi LadyLake1224,

I saw that little advertisement on this website too! I did some research into the deals because I was skeptical about paying for coupons. They seem better than anything I have personally seen out there for free. I like the fact that they are for businesses that don't usually do coupons.

I have already bought a couple for this weekend and the whole buying experience went very smoothly. I will keep you posted after I use them!

Yes, these look like Groupon, LivingSocial, SeizeTheDeal and other coupon websites which are taking the country by storm. he big difference is that the deals offered are not nearly as good as the above companies offer. Generally those websites offer 50% or more off goods and services, and they do not usually require spending more to get the discount. Also for restaurants, there are usually not the limited hours when coupons can be used.

But hey, if the discount fits you, it's still a discount.

Like Trader Joes, I'd LOVE to see a company like Groupon enter The Villages market.

Yeah, however, I thought Groupon was only one deal per day, right? It looks like this site has multiple deals up all the time.

Is this one of those advertising deals where the advertiser gets local businesses to sign up and than sells the books of coupons like the Boy Scouts do for fundraisers?

Hey graciegirl, this is not like one of those books. This is a website that you get on and purchase each individual coupon by itself. The price you pay is usually at least half price of the discount you are purchasing....

and yes ladylake1224 groupon is only daily deals where these are up all the time. The big difference between the two is that you are paying for a coupon or a discount at a low rate on thevillagesdeals whereas with groupon or the other sites you are paying more money for a voucher and dont need to spend any money at the door. With both of the sites though you are getting 50% off.

I would like to see thevillagesdeals do some sort of groupon type vouchers.

This is a new advertiser on TOTV and they have just launched their business. We hope these deals save TOTV users money and provide more value.

I have family coming to visit me soon, so I just bought a couple of the restaurant coupons...can't wait to use them! The site was very easy to navigate and use.

Hey Everyone,

I used the coupons that I had purchased over the weekend and as promised I wanted to share my experience about it. Everything went very smoothly at the restaurant and the retail store that I had bought them for. They accepted them no problem, no questions asked, and were even excited to see that people are starting to use them.

When I went on the site today to check out the new deals I saw that they are running a promotion for November. You can win a $100 visa gift card just be purchasing a few coupons.... I hope I win :-)
