That sums it up pretty well.:clap2:

How is a suggestion being a bigot? I think the bigotry is in your head. It is a fact that the service down here is slow. As per the previous posts. I just said tip accordingly. Open your eyes and read all the threads about poor service and l'll live we're I choose thank you after all it is America.

Because you said, "they all think we owe them a living". Who are "they"? and who are "we" and how do you know how "they" think. I am not part of your "we" group.

Ask for Christen to be your server. She is great!

Why is it so difficult for some folks to accept situations, unless they can complain about it? The servers and all workers in the South work as hard as anyone around the country. In TV, I think they have to work even harder because so many start are critical and are looking for the negatives in any situation they are in. Lighten up y'all..life is too short.

Yep, I think that the vast majority of servers here do a wonderful job. They have to deal with a lot of different personalities and tastes. I can't imagine how stressful that can be. Hat's off to the people that take care of us!

Good service or bad service has nothing to do with North, South, East or West. End of that discussion. We had some very good liver and onions last year about this time at Tierra Del Sol. They were not real busy and service was just fine. One of our group of six did comment "this place could use an update" and I agreed. But then you can say that about a lot of places.

The owner Pete is a nice guy, always brings out something free for people sitting at the bar.I've had soup, waffle fries and different pasties.Dee one of his servers is excellent.I agree his prices are on the high side but could be his location is off the beaten path and doesn't get as much "pop in traffic."

We were there today for lunch. Our waiter was Roland and he was absolutely terrific. The cook came out and sat down with us and introduced himself and told us a little about be restaurant. He asked the waiter to give us complimentary cream puffs that they make from scratch. I had a cup of soup and grilled chicken sandwich on homemade bread for $4.99 plus he cost of a beverage. I was yold they have the best pizzain the area made from scratch.
Our experience was wonderful!

Me either.

I have had routinely excellent service from wait people whereever I go here even though I have seen them treated badly and probably they are routinely undertipped.

I try to always tell them how much I appreciate their good service and leave a decent tip.

If they are slow in serving, it could be a new cook or someone failed to show in the kitchen.

Or just simply that at THIS time of the year they are busy.

I think if I were working at a restaurant and saw a group of people who are mainly just going to have drinks, I would feel discouraged. There goes the table turnover quickly.

I guess that some people don't realize that is limiting the wages that a server takes home and some people don't care. They are retired and if they want to sit all afternoon and drink it shouldn't be any of my business.

Just sayin'....I don't think I would have the patience to be a server here.

They have decent, honest jobs and are working hard to take care of themselves and their families. More power to them.

If you read the original quote you would have understood who they are and who we are. Just in case you didn't go back and read it. The person was talking how they were ignored by the wait staff and a I reiterated what the real poster said. I also gave my input that I agree with the service in the country clubs and if you are not happy, then show your displeasure with a tip accordingly. People complain on here all the time about the food and the service at the country clubs but they still patronize them. Kind of like dumb and dumber so keep commenting without reading all the posts must make you feel smarter.thats all I've got (;)

Nice try. I re-read the original posters comment and it's reads the same to me now as it did before. Soooooooo......here is what you wrote>

"That's the way it is all over. Everything is slow down south in the service area, they all think we owe them a living when they wait on us so take a breath, remember you have no where to go and tip accordingly."

Sorry, but that still reads the same to me too.

Not only is the owner (Pete) friendly and always wants you to try something free while your there, he has the most cleanest kitchen in The Villages for an ancient building. He invited me into the kitchen just to see. He is VERY clean oriented. I enjoy when the have Veal Venaschnitzl (hope spelling is right) We need to learn not to be in a hurry to critisize on ONE visit. Off to Vic Embers tonight with my Honey!!!!
