Tierra Del Sol Terrible Service
Eight of us played golf at TDS yesterday and had a 5:30 reservation in the bar following our round. We had to wait quite awhile for our table so we sat at the bar waiting. The bartender totally ignored us. She never asked if we wanted a drink. I asked if they still had the giant margheritas, and the bartender got very annoyed and said "not tonight! we're just too busy". She was very rude and continued to ignore us. There was a man behind the bar doing nothing. We asked him if we could get a drink and he just ignored us as well. Our table was finally ready so we left the bar and sat down. A couple took two of our seats at the bar and had their drinks before we were all even seated! We again were ignored at our table. The man who was doing nothing behind the bar walked by and we asked him if we could get a drink. He finally wrote down our drink orders. We finally got our drinks but then no wait person showed up to give us menus or take our dinner order. We had to ask for menus. Then we had to ask a server if she could take our dinner order. The service was absolutely terrible. When a server finally arrived, she was very nice, the nicest person in the entire restaurant! This is the second time we've had awful service at TDS. We won't be back again.
We weren't the only ones disgusted with the service. A couple seated at another table near us, in the bar, got up and left after they were ignored as well. |

Had a similar experience at a recent opera dinner. Won't go back.

Had our golf scramble dinner there a while back and was a total disaster. Whenever we see an ad in the paper for Tierra Del Sol we just laugh. Don't know how they stay in business.

My husband and I were with the group of 8 from the original poster...she beat me to the complaint...if humanly possible, we will never go back again...rude, rude bar staff and an assistant bartender was useless....so disappointed in our experience...we had another bad experience with TDS a few weeks ago, so that is 2 in a row. Good bye TDS!!!!!!!!!

We were there a few months ago and our waitress actually brought us our drinks and then sat down at the bar and ate her dinner while ours was sitting in the window getting cold...and that dinner we had was NOT worth waiting for either!

I should have added that at the Opera dinner, we waited at least 45 minutes to give drink orders because "our waitress hadn't arrived yet." We don't understand why the Opera dinners are held there with so many other options in TV.

we go there quite often, always sit at the bar. we have never had the experiences mentioned. we have seen them so busy that it is difficult to keep up, but i have not seen any of the bar staff intentionally ignore anyone. cannot speak about the dining room since we don't go in there.

That's the way it is all over. Everything is slow down south in the service area, they all think we owe them a living when they wait on us so take a breath, remember you have no where to go and tip accordingly.

The Law Of Large Numbers
Well its predictable that the complaints will be in proportion to the population growth whether it is restaurants, traffic, tee times, poop stories, crimes, rude drivers or contractors |

Bigotry is alive and well in The Villages. I suggest you move back north where the service, food, cost and ambience meet your standards.
