Certainly one of my favorites. Lease or own I don't know. But I love the place. Good food, fairly priced, and great people taking care of you. 😋😋😋

Inflation is very unreasonable. If you call an economy where our country goes into debt a trillion extra every 30 days, where grandmas and grandpas need jobs after retirement in order to survive and where our children can’t afford a home a good economy, then maybe?

Under 5% - yep, reasonable

Normal 08-11-2024 06:32 PM

2% goal

The 2% norm would be more reasonable.

If you add food into the equation not reasonable in my book

$1T every 100 days
Grandmas and grandpas used to not be able to retire. The ones I know today have been retired for some time now.
My two nieces just bought homes and my nephews will as soon as they decide where to settle down.

I'm sure some are struggling, others are not, nothing new about that. !y experience with the economy today is positive. I'm sorry yours is not.

21.86% over the past 5 years. It should have been 10 or 11. Anyone that thinks 22% inflation in 5 years is good is nutty as squirrels turds.

When added to the 20% accumulated over the last 3.5 years, NOPE...

My (and my wife's) grandparents all retired, As did our parents...

Your blanket statement is all wet...

You know that is 5% on top of 6.5% in 2022 and 7% in 2021?
It compounds.

Correct, inflation has been damaging to the economy in many ways.

I haven’t been to the one in Brownwood in 3 years.

We ate at the Brownwood location once, didn't care for the food or atmosphere and never went back. Just my opinion, I'm sure there are people who love it. (if filing BK, I rather doubt it was busy)

Northerner52 08-12-2024 06:40 AM

Lousy food

LeRoySmith 08-12-2024 06:43 PM

A World of Beer representative contacted on Monday and said the recent filing is not expected to impact the Brownwood location.

Bill14564 08-12-2024 07:02 PM

Just got back from WoB Brownwood.

- Two empty tables
- Two empty bar seats which we took
- One tap that might have been empty, the other 37 were being used
- Friendly, efficient bartenders
- Still like the burgers

The reports of its death appear to have been greatly exaggerated

Well you did go on Monday "burger night", which is one of the best reasons to go there. Great burger for a great price. Always busy on Monday nights there. Would be nice if they offered similarly enticing deals to that throughout the week.

The bartenders I've found to always be on the ball, it's more often the wait staff where the bottleneck seems to occur. Seated at the bar the food orders just seem to come out more smoothly and you don't have to wait forever to get your bill.

We went to the Brownwood location once during a Farmers Market. Stood at the hostess podium for several minutes (seemed like a long while). No staff person in sight or called out to us verbally, so we left. We read the menu while waited and it didn’t seem worth going back to try again.

According to the site which shall not be spoken, World of Beer home office has stated that Brownwood will remain in place during and after re-organization.
