Default Your favorite carryout meal during this pandemic?

Up in Indiana for the summer, but so far have not found anything to beat Oakwoods. this meal works for two meals. Full slab of ribs, black eyed peas, and greens. Just love this one. What works best for you and yours????

We dine in if I have to carry out, I’m cooking. We have had 3 close friends die in the last month, not from Covid, just their time, but young in their 50s. We still live our lives, after all there is no guarantee for tomorrow

We have been using Havana CC two to three times a week all of March and April. We are now going out two to three times a week to eat. No Problem! Oakwood is good, if you like ribs.

It's a little pleasant drive out of the bubble but ACME Rib Shack in Mt Dora is so good. Ribs, chopped pork and whole smoked wings. Of course, we bought way too much food but that was ok with us. :-) Texas Roadhouse was pretty good, pork chops and catfish dinners.

We cook all our meals at home....so the only 'carry out' that we do is what little scraps end up in the basket and go out on Monday's and Thursdays in white bags

BTW - Best Meats in Wildwood carries only Prime and Choice grades

Carraba's lasagna family meal. For $40 you get enough lasagna to feed a family of 5 adults, plus caesar salad for 5, plus delicious italian bread, dipping oil with herbs. That's only $8 per person. If it's just two of you, then that means you get dinner for two, plus you can make the portions just slightly smaller and end up with lunch for 2, for two days that week.

That's how we usually do it. PLUS...

if you're a member of their Dine Rewards program, then you get credit toward your reward. For every three transactions, you get a 4th transaction for half price (up to $20 off the total).

So, I spend $40 once a month for 2 dinners and 4 lunches, for three months in a row, and I get another 2 dinners and 4 lunches for only $20.

That's not including tip - I tip the curbside folks a few bucks for carrying the bag out to me.
