Two little dogs, around 10 lbs each, needing a loving home in The Villages. They have bonded for two years, would prefer to stay together. One is a female, very sweet Bichon Frise, 4-5 years old. The other one is a male, ShihTzu, 4 years old. Both of them are gorgeous little dogs and very good!

Wow what uplifting posts. Maybe we should start a site called PuppyMatch.com.

PuppyMatch.com. would be a great idea!! I have been searching for a pet for weeks. I think I have looked at every rescue ( and there are some really sad stories out there). Do you know Florida does not have a pet abuse law, at least that is what I was told. We lost our sweet schnauzer in Jan. and have decided to look for another pet. I have checked with breeders for female, Havanese, Schnauzer, Maltese, and others. Nothing yet, but will continue to look.

So sorry for the loss of your Schnauzer girl.... Have you seen Chloe? She is Schnauzer/poodle blend and quite a looker.... Check out Dogs for adoption from our Rescue in Orlando FL to see her profile under adoptable dogs. Susan Volunteer- Foster Coordinator The Villages Poodle and Pooch Rescue |

Chloe is adorable. Everyone here does a great job of helping to care for our animals in need.

Oh my, you didn't look back at my post to see my photos of our Lilly. She has taken the number one spot in our hearts. She is perfect and can't imagine life without her. My interest was by brother in law who loves dogs and lives alone. Lilly would have playmates but he explained it is not something he can do at this time.

Not everyone looks back at old posts unless they come up on "new posts" again. At least, that's how I do it, and I missed the picture you posted of Lilly!! Maybe you should just do another NEW one. She is ADORABLE!! I'm so happy for all of you!

Thank you Susan, Chloe is a looker for sure. I think we have found a rescue, but she does have some health issues. She is positive for heart worms and has a kidney stone. She is 3 years old and we are willing to help her get well in our home. I have talked to other volunteers and explored many avenues or research in heart worm and kidney stone treatment. My husband and I have decided we can help her regain her health, and are willing and have time to do this for her. Of course prayers are welcome, thank you again for your information.

So happy to see you found someone to love and that you are open and willing to adopt a little dog with health issues. Please tell us more and be sure to post photos. Best wishes.

If you have any questions regarding HW treatment prior to starting that process, please send me a PM and I'll help you through it. I once adopted an 11yr old + dog who tested high positive for HW. That dog took 1 1/2 yrs to get HW negative. One of the MOST important steps is to keep the dog calm after the treatment for weeks. Leash walks out back and rest only... Again, thank you for thinking rescue. Susan G |
