Default Executive course ..walk ons

I was under the impression that about a year ago due to "outsiders" using our executive golf courses, the tee time office began to schedule tee times right up until dusk to avoid having this happen.
Last week I had tee time around 5pm but due to lightning had to go home. The sun came out, I went back to the course golfed a bit..it rained, I left to try a different course. I got to Sand Hill at about 7pm (still light) the starters were starting to pack up. I asked can I go out? They said sure. I headed towards my cart to get my ID..they waved me off..said "go head".
I could have been Joe Shmo from a nearby area and that would have been fine!
There is no one monitoring our courses.. outsiders come over and chop them up..they dont care..its free to them!!! This is our community our ammenities paid for by Villagers..Why is nothing done about it.
I understand you cant pay the starters to stay until dark, but how about a roaming person or two going around the courses maybe 4 courses per person?
In this case, the starters were right there and didnt care to take one minute to check and ID.
Does anyone care??? Is this a hopeless situation..????

Sorry to say but this is just not a TV problem. It happens at 90% of golf courses. Unless you can lock a gate around them, there really is no way to stop. It is the nature of the beast. Wrong, yes, avoidable, No.

If you had a cart, they probably assumed you had to be a resident. How else could you have a cart there?

Might be a good idea for TV to issue license plates on all carts so people would know who were or weren't residents.

Licences, more monitoring, fences, gates, all would cost alot more that a few outsiders or un-id'd guests using the courses AFTER the ambassadors leave.

Default Stickers on Golf carts

Used to be that when you paid your trail fee you were issued a unique numbered sticker with year on it. Problem was, some folks abused that by not adhering it to cart and then lent it to friends who didn't pay trail fee. Or who used a neighbors cart with sticker on it. That was solved by system that now records fact you have or haven't paid trail fee so when you show up at Starter Shack they know if you have paid or, if they must collect your daily fee. Seems to me that it may be again time to issue numbered stickers for golf carts. That would serve many purposes. We don't need license plates but a numbered sticker would be helpful.

Whoa. Before anything is done the extent of the problem should be determined. How many instances of abuse have occurred, etc.
Sounds like there were a couple of ambassadors just waved a couple on to the course. There are so many variables as to why that was done....the least of which is "they do it all the time".

It seems that there are no starters around about 1 1/2 hours prior to darkness. That is what I found to be the standard. I just took my cart up to the first tee at many execs when I was there last month.

But I would disagree that those people that walk on are mostly outsiders. I would think it is just residents for the most part who want to get in a few holes before dark.

Default Well stated in an above post, let's not create....verbally...

a wholesale problem that in fact either does not exist or is normal for golf courses anywhere else on the planet.

That would be akin to eliminating shop lifting....any where....CAN'T be done.
