Default Kidnapping story on Villages news

Anyone know how this ended?

A kidnapping suspect who barricaded himself in a home in The Villages on Friday had been arrested in 2023 after jealous harassment of a woman in the Village of Chatham.

James Savage, 54, was the subject of a manhunt on Friday after allegedly forcing a woman into a Mercedes in the Village of Monarch Grove. The woman was later found safe and Savage barricaded himself in a home on Belhaven Loop in the Village of Chatham, prompting a lengthy standoff with Marion County sheriff’s deputies.

Savage had been arrested last year after harassing a woman who lives on Belhaven Loop.

As of earlier this morning (around 9), it hadn't ended. Legacy Lane was still being blocked by Marion County sheriffs around this site of the barricaded house.

""After nearly 24 hours of negotiations, a 54-year-old man accused of attacking and kidnapping a woman from a home in The Villages has “peacefully” surrendered to law enforcement authorities""

Source. The unmentionable site.

A lobotomy would guarantee no more problems.

Lobotomy? How about simple lessons on how to treat people you love? I saw the footage at the time of the kidnapping and instantly gave my wonderful hubby a hug. We then had a discussion regarding the age people should know better. I pray the woman is able to put this behind her and move on.

And it took MCSO 24hrs of peacefully negotiating to get the perp to surrender; our negotiations when I was a State Trooper rarely lasted 2 hrs; i guess it’s a newer, kinder way. 👎

Maybe it's me, but the "gentleman" didn't seem to be in the mood for a "teachable moment"...

He's lucky none of the many former LEOs in TV saw what happened. He may have died from "acute lead poisoning"...

He may be lucky, but as it seems he is a repeat abuser, I wouldn't say the women who date him (now & in the future) are so lucky.

Exactly
Just shows that even in ‘Florida’s Friendliest Hometown’....we’re not immune to the underbelly of society!

Or in some cases (probably a tiny number), we are targeted by the underbelly, relatively well to do widows abound.

I thought ‘Pension Hunters’ was a reality show about women. I stand corrected!
