Default Part Time, Weekend Caregiver Needed

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable part-time caregiver for weekend shifts to assist an elderly female with complex medical needs in a home setting.

Schedule:

Saturdays and/or Sundays

Two shifts available: 9:00 am - noon and/or 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and support with activities of daily living

Assist with mobility using a Hoyer lift

Manage enteral (feeding tube) feeding routines, including medication administration

Monitor and care for an indwelling Foley catheter

Light meal prep and housekeeping related to client care

Provide companionship and ensure a safe, respectful environment

Qualifications:

Experience with feeding tubes, Foley catheters, and Hoyer lifts required

Previous caregiving or nursing assistant experience preferred

Experience supporting individuals with Parkinson’s disease is a plus.

Must be dependable, patient, and professional

References and background check required

Location: The Villages, Florida North of 466 - Spanish Springs (Valle Verde)

Compensation: Pay based on experience

You're (hopefully) looking for a professional with the appropriate competency validation and medical training. Some random Villages resident whose only experience and qualification is that they used to do these things for their own mom should not be hired as a "caregiver" for this kind of task. Florida has actual laws about that.

You should probably try to look for a Home Health Aide company.

We have had Right at Home for about 3.5 years now. You should check them out. We have had a couple of people who did not meet our needs but the people at Right at Home try to find a good fit .
