I know Par Car has 8-6 volt batteries along with Yamaha.
What are the battery configurations on Club Car and EZGO?? |

New EZGO RXV's come standard with 4/12 volt batteries. You can have the dealer swap them out with 6/8 volts for an additional charge. Not sure how new Club Cars are configured.

For about 5 years (I forget exactly) starting in 2004, Club Car Precedent only had 4-12 volt batteries. Unless your range requirements are limited, this is not a configuration I would suggest for TV. Club Car had many issues with golf course fleets in this configuration and generated some good finger pointing between CC and Trojan Battery about who was to blame. They have gone back to 6-8v and Crown batteries.
EZGO RXV uses 4-12 v, but it has a AC motor. This is supposed to be more efficient than DC, which in theory, offsets range issues associated with a 4-12 volt configuration. |

When my mom bought her Yamaha a couple of years ago, she had the option of 6 8-volt or 8 6-volt batteries. Much better range with 8 6-volt batteries.
