Default Pickleball for visitors

We are planning our 4th visit to TV Sept 14-30. We have played PB there before by ourselves when we have visited before during open play. We even built a PB court back in the state we live but have had little interest in it here yet. We will be staying in Liberty Park. Would be interested in playing a foursome with other couples possibly visiting the same time frame, or does anyone there know a place that invites drop ins to play with others. We are above beginner class but would welcome beginners or others that have some experience. I am 65 and my wife is 60 and are still very active. Dave

Fish Hawk rec center has a fun group from 7 a. m. or so every morning. As games end you rotate in usually to play the winners.

The group at Allamanda from 7 to 10 every morning is very friendly. Just go anytime , stand in line, when you get to head of line go play!

Take Buena Vista south to the 2nd St. Charles gate, Sterling Hgts is about 1/2 mile down on the right. Hope to see y'all there.

Check the rec news on Thur. in The Villages newspaper or pick up one @ a rec cntr. to see location & days pb is played. When I'm there I play 4-5 times per wk. & I consider myself a TAD above beginner. Started playing last Nov.

Yep the best thing to do is check the rec news and go to the open courts in the am. There is usually a diverse group of players almost every where. Most are friendly and you should be able to find your niche.

Thanks for the replies. We will try a couple of those mentioned. We do check the rec news paper on Thursdays and it lists open play. We went to open play 4 times on our last visit and sat on the benches watching people play but we were not asked to join in. By the same token we never asked if we could join in either. The times we went it seemed like those groups probably usually played together and when they finished they left, that's why I asked where drop ins were welcomed. I will try some of those mentioned in these replies on our visit later this month. Getting closer to making that decision to move to TV.

I see that two new rec centers opened. Eisenhower and Big Cypress but didn't see them listed in the latest Sept 5th issue of Rec news as to what facilities they have. Does anyone know the number of pickleball courts each of these two rec centers have. Thank you. I added up all the pickleball courts at the rec centers without knowing these two. Total pickle ball courts listed now at 128. Plus however many are. At these two new rec centers.
