Cool Golf Course VS Wetlands/Marsh View what's your opinion

We are looking at 2 homes same model same everything but one is on Golf Course and the other is on the wetlands. Both are in the same village.

What are the pros and cons of each. Which would you choose and why.

I have asked this question as well. Some people like golf course views and some like water/marsh. The cons to the golf course are balls coming into your yard possibly. The water views invite creatures. Some of the creatures are lovely and some ...not so much. The other con with water is it isn't guaranteed...meaning if for any reason it dries up, you will end up with a meadow view.

My personal preference is wetlands. Even if it would dry up for a bit. I guess it comes down to, are you a people watcher or wild life watcher?

Golf view for me. Make sure you are not near a tee box or close to a green, never buy 150-250 yards out from the tee also try to avoid being close to the cart path. These kind of golf views are hard to find, not impossible but hard.

We are on Glenview and the birds are incredible, come right through our yard. The golfers are just OK

I think the reason is that you can hear the ball being WACKED all day long.
You won't realize how annoying it is until you actually live there. WACK! WACK! WACK!

I would go for the nature view. You can achieve a certain tranquility watching wildlife through binoculars.

Flying golf balls can be a hazard to your home....... and to you when you are in your yard.

Let us know of your decision.

We would personally prefer a nature view ...... Unless you are fortunate enough to find a golf course view that is well away from the golf cart path, noise and possibility of flying balls.

Even more than the sound of club striking ball, golfers conversations on the tee can be loud, crude and disruptive at all hours.

(I heard that an example of something like this happened somewhere in TV once).

You can hear us golfers out there all day long, and sometimes we shout out bad things off the tee. Golf is not the only four letter word I've heard on the course.

Nothing...My home faces a t box , although elevated but it is fun to watch the golfers

Never had a single ball in my yard in 6 years.

Never heard a single curse word. Golfers are respectable people. They will not bother you.

I would avoid the golf course. The amount of pesticides used here must be fairly high; after all, we never see a mosquito. However, the amount of chemical fertilizer that's put on golf courses would tend to steer me clear of living immediately adjacent to one of them. I feel we have enough chemicals in our lives. And let me just say that no, I cannot document this; it's just how I feel.
