Hello everyone! I believe that I volunteered to host the next house party. I've been busy with my Atlanta house closing and my adorable granddaughter was here for a week! It's hard being away from them!

Anyway, how about July 6th? It's a Saturday. I'll come up with a fun theme. Meanwhile, you guys can pm me if you can make it. We'll have another great time!

I have been following the " Meet and Greet " for several days . Each time I convince myself to Post , I pull back .

Not many guys Posting here however I like the positive upbeat energy of this Board so here goes :

Obviously, from my handle , my name is Jim . I moved down here over 1 year ago from Buffalo , NY . I was a Banker for over 35 years most of it at an Exec. Level [ boring and irrelevant I realize but that was my life 60+ hours a week ].

Been through the pain of a late in life , unanticipated but necessary divorce and have mostly just kept to myself since moving here . More recently I have been slowly getting out and joining Clubs .

I`m a lot more interesting than this intro [ then again maybe not ]. One on one I can be a bit shy at first which is amazing considering that I did a great deal of Public Speaking in my career !

I enjoy and follow most every sport altho ice hockey is my favorite and a life-long passion . " Back in the Day " I actually had the following season tickets all at the same time :

I was active on several Charitable and Cultural Boards . I was assigned by my bank Chairman to work with the General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres when they were going through an extended ownership search and bankruptcy .

I also enjoy history and following current events .

Ironically , I never had many quiet moments until I moved here which I will admit is ridiculous . I would really welcome any opportunity to meet and get to know some new friends, who , like me happen to find themselves single at this stage of life .
