Default Picnic Meet and Greet!

from time to time we have a picnic at Lake Miona State Park on Rainey Trail and since next Thursday, Oct 26 promises to be a nice and cool day, we plan to meet there for a sack lunch...just bring your own lunch and beverage, not a pot luck...there are nice covered picnic tables there, a peaceful view of the 100 acre lake, and even a fishing pier for anyone who wants to stay and catch a few! the time is 12 Noon. we can consider this a Meet and Greet for Oct and look forward to meeting newbies!

I assume this activity is for uncommitted singles?

More details and DIRECTIONS
.
Oct 26 is predicted to be cool enough for another singles picnic at Lake Miona County Park. These are spring and fall events! They also serve as a Meet 'n Greet. The weather is expected to be sunny and in the 70s.

This event is 100% informal. Just bring your own sandwich, or whatever, and drink. No need to bring food to share. [no alcohol permitted in the park]

Wear a name tag. Put it in your car now so you won't forget it, as I often have!

The park has picnic tables in the shade, rest rooms, and an overall very pleasant setting on the lake. It is NOT Lake Miona Rec Center!

Directions: It is about 2 miles or less NW of Sumter Landing town square.
Take Buena Vista Blvd to Rainey Trail round-about. From Buena Vista, you can only go west on it, so, go west on Rainy Trail [aka Rt 472] about 1/3 mile. When you enter a heavily wooded area, you are there. The entrance is on your left.

The park is owned and maintained by the county. It is legally separate from The Villages, although geographically it is surrounded by The Villages. No ID required! It is easiest to come by car. If you come by golf cart, park in nearby Ashland Village and walk a couple blocks.

People can stay as long as they wish, but I suspect most will be heading out by 1 PM or so to do other things, so try to come by 12 noon if you want to eat with the most people possible.

NO RSVP needed! Last spring we had about 15 or more attend.

See you there!
