adding my kudos, katie, for all the work you did, the planning you thought out about the games, the expense and the comfort we all felt in your home...wonderful job...i am afraid my little party on oct 19 (your welcome party!) will not compare and i cannot attempt to cook for twenty five people...i cannot even fit twenty five people in my home so i will have to limit to 20...so please pm me anyone who wants to come...it will be pot luck and byob. more details as i think more about it :) again, you are a wonderful addition to our group of friends!

And thank you, all, for your lovely comments. I'm glad you all had a good time. These small parties are definitely a great way to make new friends and it's awesome that I now have so many in my life. It was amazing to me how relaxed and comfortable we all were together.

And I must close with - In 'THE BATTLE OF THE SEXES' the women rocked! - albeit by a very small margin.

Cha, if we bring our portable chairs can some of us sit outside? should be great weather by late October...you have the porch and side yard...there's a lot more room if you let us spill over...

sure, i guess we can spill over! what the heck, the more the merrier! i want to get a few small conversation groups going rather than my usual games, so that people can switch around tables and discuss topics of interest to singles with different folks...your suggestions for topics are welcome. sort of a group speed dating :) got the idea from kate's index cards :) already have had three pm's so keep them coming.

oh dear Cha, you know wild horses wouldn't keep me away, but I won't speed date, slow date or table interview. I'm sure we can make this fun without me having to audition for a role I don't want!! LOL...is it time for a new thread?

Dianne, I like the idea of group discussions because I don't think you get to meet anyone or get to know anyone better through games. This will just change the format up a bit which is always a good thing. Please count me in on your party plans.
